Matthew Kukah " The last Presidential election and swearing in of the President has made our democracy like a football match where the referee has to go and look at VAR to confirm whether the President is the right President or an offside President, while Nigerians are still waiting for the decision of the referee"

That's the situation INEC and Mahmoud has put Nigeria with a possible offside President.

U lack sense kiddo

There is no doubt that I lacked sense when I was Obedient.

It's like clinching to the delusional 25% FCT. EU report has absolutely no effect what so ever on proceedings at the PEPT. It is also a clinching to delusion and self deception. Why will PEPT base their judgement on EU report when there are numerous reports by other genuine organization around the world and individuals that validated the last election with a pass mark.

This is just the usual obedient fantasy. Sojourner1976

The EU report must be a thorn in the flesh and it's sickening not to believe it has weight. If it doesn't,why discuss it in the first place? He who pays the Piper dictates the tune. It's true EU can't influence our court decisions and run our democracy but Nigeria borrows and still borrowing from donor agencies most domiciled in EUrope!

It's time to watch events unfold. I don't know how many cases would lack merit at the PEPT to save Tinubu currently.

But in 2023 it's obvious that Tinubu didn't win, infact what inec have with them shows that he didn't win

Tinubu will make history as a sitting president that would be removed from office, and that would set the record straight to all politicians that they can be removed from office, even Akpabio and the former senate president, Lawan are not suppose to be at the Senate, but due to the corrupt judicial system, they both bought the judiciary over, and one is senate president, appointed by their master Tinubu.

You can remove him by yourself idiala

Lol....their are so many reports that are contrary to EU's. It's all about what we may wish to hold on to. Was EU the only observers? The simple answer is no. And mind you the last election is the very best since 1999. No election can be perfect. Uptill as I am writing this comment. Supporters of Trump and Trump himself still claim that the won the last presidential election.

Peter Obi especially is not a clever man, he lacks the wisdom which is required in this game of politics.

Why is tinubu threatening the judiciary since he clearly won the election. Oh im happy u said it's not only EU but it's the same EU who gave inec 39million euros to improve the there system. If you also check what catriona laing said about the 2023 election you notice the obvious. Ask yourself why the presidential election was not uploaded in real time and up till now inec have not been able to explain the technical glitch. Over 18 thousand result sheet are blurred so which result did inec use to declare tinubu the winner? We have pictures of people and animal uploaded with so many mutilated results.

Bro lets get the facts right, other election went smoothly except the presidential result and that is what labour party is challenging. Even BBC made a report on obvious rigging that happened in rivers state. Some people said in there polling unit labour party scored 514 buh it was later changed to 14 when they viewed the irev. Its clear tinubu don't have a case in the tribunal cos he only filed a motion that Peter obi is not a member of labour party and that was the only defence he had. So get your facts right and stop beating around th bush. Don't let yourself get deceived the evidence against tinubu is overwhelming

Nigeria never follow or do what EU/US (except copying America's federal structure but with few twists like unicameral HOAs and State High Court not State Supreme Court and no State Constitution) does or any other country in the world. If that so, Nigeria wont have Polygamy, Prostitution (illegal almost everywhere else), Child marriage, lowest age of consent for sexual activity (depending on the State), no such thing as Child abuse (like giving your child/children a good koboko in your house or in street without fear of law enforcement), Romeo and Juliet Sex laws, there is Sharia (with Nigerian way look at Borno and Yobe States compared to the other sharia states that why Boko Haram/ISWAP are in both regions causing mayhem), No such thing as Marriage Rape, No such thing as TV License or Carbon emission tax, or Noise Law, or Road Tax, or Fishing License, and we have the lowest VAT in the world.

F* EU and US. Never cared about Nigeria so why should we care about what they say. We are a sovereign nation and what happens here stays here. None of their F*ing business. Heck F* China as well 😂

God Bless The Federal Republic of Nigeria, Long Live The Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Note: I swear to Allah, There will never be a successor nation(s) to Nigeria- No Biafra, Oduduwa, and Arewacin (meaning Northern Nigeria in Hausa). This territory called Nigeria which began as a little village, Nok in what now Middle Belt over 3,600 years ago will never die. Inshallah Ameen Allah.

All eyes on the judiciary to do the right thing.
Re: Tribunal: EU Has Put Judiciary Under Pressure By Lanre Adewole by nedekid: 11:49pm On Jul 16, 2023
A very celebral piece.
It is glaring to the blind that there was heavy inconsistency, open and not hidden rigging, almost never seen impunity, voters intimidation in the last elections. First time ever a president is crowned with roughly about 12% of votes casted. Howwww, where in the world has that happened in the last 10 years worldwide?
Anyway, as the politicians and interest groups say, let us leave it and move ahead for peace to reign. I think so too, but will this stop?
Anyway, guess this one is "too much" for Electoral monitors and aid donors to overlook.
Some will say the EU, US etc I indulge in our affairs, well, others will argue that the current political party and president did not see is that way when they had those same EU etc put pressure on the then GEJ administration. Buhari won by 53% of votes casted, compared to the current 12% of the current president!
Anyway, if there is pressure on the judiciary, we do not know. Afterall, na travel ban or asset freeze. Bottomline, must they travel? Most deny they even have assets abroad in their icpc or code of conduct filings. So what is the big deal?
Well, we know nothing pains a big man more than not being able to enter first class or private jet to go abroad to "rest" or visit their personal doctors, I'd rather say to shop on the highend shops, the Harrods, slaks 5th Avenues etc.
Places regular middleclass Nigerians (seeing poverty ahead, no future have all ran to, becoming healthcare workers, drivers, cleaners etc) will never have the capacity to shop in.
Finally, let the judiciary do what is right before man, God and finally their conscience.
We must accept their decision and end the matter, either it favors your candidate or not.
