You guys lack adequate information. Before the start of the war, Ukraine was the strongest and largest military in Europe, trained according to NATO standard. Not even Germany, would have dared get into a war with Ukraine, not to talk of Poland. As at today, Ukraine admits to losses of personnel in the range of over 350k but independent sources are saying it stands at over 700k and if you consider the no of mobilization they have carried out, and how they hunt for young men to forcefully conscript into the army, you will see some truth in that. They are currently mobilizing females, old people and disabled people to the army.

The troops fighting on behalf of Russia are Ukraine citizens?. Russia is the bigger country compared to Ukraine, Russia has a lot more to lose, since the war, Sweden and Finland joined NATO, Russia's economy is on sanctions, they are in war economy, Russia is sacrificing it's future to wage war against Ukraine. Russia is losing prominence in global matters, they have lost their biggest trading partners with no replacement.

Everything Ukraine is losing Russia is losing too, however after the war, Ukraine would be NATO, and join the EU.
