In the face of such a heart-wrenching situation, my thoughts are deeply with these families, whose lives have been turned upside down by the inexplicable disappearance of their loved ones. The emotional turmoil they must be experiencing as they cling onto hope, unaware that the government has already laid their cherished family members to rest, is truly heart-rending.

Imagine the anguish they endure every day - the sleepless nights spent in search of any sign, the constant longing for a reunion, and the persistent questions that remain unanswered. For these families, time may feel frozen, suspended between the past memories and an uncertain future.

In this challenging time, I fervently urge the Lagos State Government (LASG) to show the utmost compassion and empathy for these grieving families. By releasing the names of the deceased individuals, the LASG can extend a helping hand, offering the gift of closure to those who have endured such a prolonged, agonizing search.

Closure, though difficult, is essential for the healing process. Knowing the fate of their loved ones will allow these families to embark on the journey of acceptance and, eventually, find peace in their hearts. It will enable them to pay their respects, bid a proper farewell, and create a sense of finality, despite the immense pain of loss.

Each day that passes without answers further deepens the wounds these families bear. The uncertainty gnaws at their souls, making it challenging to move forward. With the LASG's compassionate action in sharing vital information, they can find some solace amid the grief and begin to rebuild their lives.

Let us remember that losing someone dear is an excruciating experience. The pain lingers long after the initial shock fades away. By acknowledging the suffering of these families and taking action, the LASG can offer them a glimmer of hope in the darkness they find themselves in.

During these trying times, acts of compassion and understanding can make a profound impact on those who are suffering. By standing in solidarity with these grieving families, we can collectively support them in finding the strength to face the future, one step at a time. May we all come together to ease their burden and help them find a sense of closure and healing amidst the pain.

God is not mocked. There is a reason, why calamities upon calamities are befalling the APC government.

The dead will forever cry in the household of those that called for the killing and their brainlessly foolish supporters, that said nobody died initially and are now claiming nobody camenl to claim the corpses.

God is truly on the throne.

A Yoruba adage says bi iro ba lo logun odun, ijo kan ni oto o ba. Which means, lies may linger for 20 years, truth will catch up with it within a day. Now this is the same government that set up a commission to investigate the killing, they sat for nearly a year, conducted diligent investigation with open facts, submitted their reports, but someone sitting down at the corner of his rubbished want they have done in the name of so called white paper, honestly if this is what white paper is meant to be achieved I think it is high time council it use in government circle. It only in a lawless country that this type of madness is being exhibited. What they deny in the so called white paper is they now termed as no one show up to collect the corpses, how would they come to collect what you deny?

You could CONVENIENTLY keep 103 dead people without as much as alerting the public?May God arise and execute judgement on behalf of the slain. May those who had hands or mouths in their deaths, be they politicians or soldiers, suffer slow, agonizing and painful deaths in Jesus Name.

Smh. He just woke up. For almost 3 years, the state has advertised and announced severally and even set up a committee for members of the society to come forward and identify or report to them a missing relative, no one came forward for any of these bodies.

The state went further to spend millions to preserve these bodies while waiting for the families, particularly those alleged to be killed at lekkilies, still nobody came forward.

Should LASG continue to keep the bodies for ever or should we forever believe the lie that anyone killed will not have families, friends, neighbours, pastors, imams etc.

If Amnesty International Nigeria is serious, it should not have kept quiet but helped the government publicize the long drawn public announcement to members of the public.

I will support Amnesty if it will offer to bear the cost of the extra days the LASG will be keeping these bodies. It is not enough for them to talk, talk is cheap. What will amnesty undertake to ensure that the families are found and tax payers in Lagos does not continue to bear the brunt and cost of keeping these bodies for ever. They are in govt mortuaries at a cost borne by the govt for almost 3 years now, what does amnesty want to do to help Lagos?

Since nobody came forward to claim the 103 dead bodies, does it mean the 103 dead bodies about to be buried by the Lagos State government does not have families, relatives....especially given the fact that "nobody complained their relative is missing, no family has come forward etc" has been used as the background for denying anybody died at Lekki toll gate by most commentators on here

Smh. Nobody died at Lekkikies. If you were the one killed there or have a relative killed there, you can still present your proof before the burial. We don't have anything to prove again after years calling on you , you are the one now to prove you were killed there or your relatives killed there or you know someone who knows someone who was killed there. There's no way you will kill someone and kill all his relatives, friends, neighbours, pastors and imams nah.
LASG has kept the dead body for years for this reason of waiting for you but can not wait for ever. So come out and claim that you or your family member was killed at Lekki.
