Yes because it will eradicate junior and senior ministers dichotomy. Already the constitution allows minimum of 43 ministers which means you have the leaverage to move the ministries to 43. What we will get is efficiency and reduction in the cost of governance because many MDAs will be exposed.

I see people saying reduce cost of governance.. The cost of governance is always high, in Nigeria and all over the world.. doesn’t mean it’s right.. but that’s the reality you need to open your eyes too… if you were the president ,you’d need a lot to run the govt..

Instead of splitting education ministry, ensure that education takes minimum of 20% of the budget. What's the point of tertiary ministry, 6% and the other one 5%. Education needs to be properly funded not split.
Works and Housing were separate until Buhari happened. It should be split but Housing ministry should be more involved in coming up with mortgages and encouraging low cost real estate. That's what's been lacking in our Housing sector.
And what the hell is solid petroleum? This is an avenue to settle more cronies than service delivery. We have PIA which almost fully privatise the sector so we need less agencies there.
The ministry of industry is better left alone and given the right tools to impact our SMEs. Our SMEs have suffered too much neglect with more than half of them having gone under in the last eight years. Merging the ministry with commerce will kill off any meaningful development of SMEs because commerce and investment minister will be too busy chasing oyinbos and their dollars to have time for SMEs and their wahala.
What the heck is ministry of solid minerals being created? We already have ministry of Solid minerals or are a going to have two ministers?
I don't think Rural development should be put under human development. Human development should be under Education ministry while Rural development should be totally scrapped!! The FG has no business with Rural development. That should be the business of the states.
I also don't understand what problem ministry of statistics will solve that ministry of national planning cannot moreso when we have National Bureau of Statistics and other statistics agencies. What we need is a national planning ministry with NBS liaising with it.
Lastly, this govt needs to come out with a plan to rejuvenate the economy it has sent into a tailspin.
