That individual made a valid point in a rude way. But cooking twice in a month is a big No No.

My wife cook soups / stew that will last us for a week. She will portion it in containers in the freezer. Anybody that want to eat will just take a container.

Not everyone is opportuned to live in an environment that has constant powee supply or can afford running generator or installing solar

To think I used to buy this fish back then as a student for N20 a piece and thought it was cheap until a friend follow me to the market and we bought it at N10 a piece. That was when I realized that I was been scammed and no wonder the fish sellers loved me. Back then, in the market where my school was, this fish and "Agbodo" were the only fishes you could find. It is alarming that a piece of it now cost N400. It is well.

She can slightly tweak to extend to 10 days. That way she cooks thrice instead of four times.

No, this was 1999 but I guess as a Lagos boy who follows the mom to the market, it was too cheap to see a piece of fish selling for N20. Besides, I hate haggling from childhood even till date and my mom was nice in the sense that instead of haggling, she would tell you to prepare whatever she is buying for some amount and because she was in the food business, I guess those we buy from were always reasonable since we will be cooking to resell (my opinion).

Why do uou people in the south buy foodstuff like almajari. Take real money to the market. Stick the house n fried with lots. Cook twice in a month n enjoy a living life not struggling to survive. You lot ain't saving money buying petty like this. In the north all thses cost less than 2500. That meat is 400 that tomatoes is like 100 and that fish looks unhealthy. Well eat healthy and work harder to earn money to buy more.
That was then en not now, for you to get those pieces of meat at 400 naira in the North. Which part of the North, if I may ask

Your opinion is very valid. Food Items are always cheaper for those who cook to sell since they buy more frequently than anyone would.

But...It's really crazy how much the naira has lost its worth through the years. Many of these folks in leadership ought to be in jail in a serious nation

Shawa fish for that matter, why fine girl like you go dey chop shawa?

Tufiakwa!

The Kpomo sef is cheating, #500 for just 2rolls or so?

The meat is manageable

The pepper for #400 is serious slapping. Only #200 pepper would be the size of what's in the picture, so wetin you use the remaining #200 do?

Things hard my dear, you need to take some lessons from me on how to cook on a budget.

Thank God I've passed this stage now sha, I now spend #30k weekly on groceries for myself alone.

I dey chop food like pesin wey dey chop life cheesy
