For the Ebola-infested Aphonjites calling out Biafrans for the loss, I think it is well served. You want Biafrans whom you loathe to give you cause to celebrate? Make caterpillar wey fail break jam all of una.

It’s so painful cos the girls had the better opportunities to bury the game. They just lack finishing in the final third….too blunt in front of goal. Banyana would have scored if they were the ones with this opportunity cos they play very good attacking game.
I will never understand why Oparanozie is taking our first PK in a game she got in at 113th min🤦🏼‍♂️ & why did Alozie after such a beautiful performance decide to take the PK on her left foot 😑….pained asf but we move. The girls need to go take PK lessons cos their PK is pretty shambolic

How can you play 10 against 11 and still lose? The falcons didn't take their chances and couldn't keep a level head during the penalty shootout !
Well done all the same !

Oparanozie should retire abeg. She don try.

She messed up the all hard work of these girls and put Alozie the next penalty-taker who is very young under immense pressure.

Alozie and Toni Payne have a lot of stuff to develop on. Decision-making when with the ball, off the ball movements and decisiveness in front of goal.

Plumptre is the Woman of the match.

Especially Alozie, her legs is faster than her brain......she really need to calm down when she's with the ball.
I think the other FC Barcelona payer should also retire from the national team, because she has been in good form since AFCON 2019 till present.

4 super-mods on Nairaland can't handle the toxicity of thousands of semi-humans on NL, the forum breeds hardcore tribalists.

Seun your forum is behind its shadow, most Threads on the frontpage are more dominant with toxic-tribal comments.

Just take a look at this sport Thread.

The forum is actually increasing tribalism in Nigeria and making it worse.

Match don finish now everybody don turn to coachito. No one could have predicted how the match went. Certainly not even into extra Tim and penalties.

Give the girls their flowers. They put up quite a showing against the European champions and made us all proud.

4 matches played.
1 win
3 draws
3 clean sheets

A record

I detst what she did after the match, smiling with a couple of English players. I don't imply her to cry. She almost got a goal for us and was excellent today. I know they were probably friends sometime ago but she shouldn't have done that. That's absolutely distasteful.
oga they are friends.. it means nothing... harzard did same too against Chelsea

Uchebe and Ayinde were excellet throughout this competition..

Not forgetting how Demehin complemented Ohale in the heart of the defence ..

The girls did well ....only attack needs serious improvement.

Morocco and Jamaica stand good chances of proceeding to the next round. The French women team is not as difficult an opposition as the English to beat. This Jamaica team should match Colombia's at the very least.

Very well said!

Ucheibe was a complete, hardworking midfielder. Our best player over 4 matches.

Ayinde? No one could outpace her. I am sure she is the fastest in the tournament (maybe Colombia's Ramirez is second). If she was not a footballer, she could have made it in the sprints. Also very hardworking. Finished Laura James halo to the point she got frustrated.

Because if she was crying or moody it will help your life progress? Or put the Falcons in the QF?

Good run by the girls. They definitely impressed me today but they still had that issue of not holding on well to the ball or completing their passes accurately. Good stuff though.

This is women's football. No team does that!

Our girls were brilliant against England, considering their abilities, preparations and funding differences, until the penalties.

They played like 8.5/10. Our midfielders (Ucheibe, Ayinde and Payne) are beasts!!!

Because if she had cried you wouldn't have been in this mess, and probably, you would've gone far in life? You better beg her to cry cos your life depends on it.

Coach was excellent. ✅
Team defensive spirit superb. ✅
It's a learning experience for Nigeria.

Going forward, they need to work on their attack to make it more effective.

Our defense still remains one of the most solid in the world.

Correct me if I am wrong, our unbeaten run still remains.

Yeah. We need two top strikers up front. Our forward line is weak.
