WAEC has lower the standard of their exam questions. Everything is just too easy to pass now! I completely disagree with you on the standards of the examination. Infact, take time and look at the quality of the questions, then you will see how technical they're especially the sciences. The reason why we have a very high pass rate is the increase in examination malpractices and miracle centres scattered all over the country. I can give you names of schools that involve in malpractices and you investigate yourself. WAEC has failed to address this and it has a long term effect on the educational sector and also reduce the quality of graduates produce in our universities. |

indoorlove: You said it all. Examination malpractices has damaged the system.. Funny enough, the examination body pretends as if all is well and go to the press to ditch out statistics that doesn't worth it. 1 Like |

I swear WAEC is no longer an exam. Nobody fails WAEC these days - even students who can't read or write properly. Students no longer read even a page of their books for tye exam. NOTHING. They all steal during the exam using their phones. An act well coordinated with their authorities and WAEC exam body. This utter lack of honesty, I believe, is one of the reasons why our things are as if we are cursed or damned in everything most of us Nigerians do. This allowed malpractice is one of the reasons why students don't respect thier teachers, behave morally bad, become very dumb. Some of our students are even smart enough to give their abilities a try with these exams, yet, we made them this devilish. All in the name of the 'love' we have for them. A junior friend of mine who attended one of the many expensive secondary schools of Nigeria, Key Science Academy, Masaka, Abuja and graduated in about 2014 told me that they too didn't write the exam on their own. They were in his words 'HELPED'. Many students will still do well today with those exams if they are encouraged and motivated to study hard for them. I know its arduous, still, many can give it a good shot. If a student can honestly get one or two credits in WAEC on their own. I believe they are better than most of us who cheated. Nigeria will change for better, God-willing, when we start being honest with ourselves and our institutions. Exam malpractice is not good, as much as cheating in anything isn't. 2 Likes 1 Share |

UnfairLife7: In my state Kebbi, and our neighbours Sokoto and Zamfara, even 130 is a pass mark. Everybody gets admission into university. Up tilk today many will still go the their CBT centers without reading anything, yet, still get about 130 and above. 1 Like 1 Share |

Luu40:UI, UNILAG and OAU are the only school that consider 200. Other south western federal and state university accept 180 above I understand northern university may accept 130 above. Except ABU zaria and BUK that may consider 160-180. |
