Why should the fool, Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, impose curfew on a town or capital city simply because hoodlums broke into the government house? How many curfews have the goon imposed on the city when similar incidents happened on less places than government house?

Free d lady. The country is unfair to everyone because of the theives in Abuja.
Moreover, our troops aren't trained well. You let your quick reflexes overpower your fear when a gun is pointed at you. At least, the first shot will be a mis.

I hope the killer woman people would do well to set up a high powered committee, as usual, to look into why their daughter should kill a senior officer in the army because I know if reverse was the case Nigeria atmosphere would have been buzzing by ethic bashing by now.

All thes lazy journalists, first he is not a captain but a lieutenant, he is not a senoir officer but a junior officer. Having set the records straight, the soldier will be tried in the militarty court and is certain of dismissal. Negligence is not tolerated in the Army. If she will face a civil court, that is another matter of its own.

The lady soldier was just overzealous or probably has mental issues.. part of Military training is to protect civilians and respect human rights.

RIP to the Army Captain.

If Nigeria wasn’t such a backwards country, why should a state governor have authority over the army?

security teams on such patrol should be splitted in groups the once facing civilian should be armed with non lethal weapons and ammunition and maybe a pistol the other group in the background could be issued with both assault riffle and also non lethal weapon and ammunitions. this would minimize a lot of this accidental discharge.

Why are we so tribalistic in this country? Always leaving the real thing, and begins to pursue the shadow. Any soldier can mistakenly killed and be killed, his/her tribe got nothing to do with it.As a former soldier, l have seen a colleague who shot himself while pointing the muzzle of the gun on his foot unknowingly out of mind.We should be tolerance and love one another. When you leave this land and travel abroad, any tribe you meet, is your kinsmen.
