There is a difference between conventional warfare and asymmetrical warfare. Boko Haram can not face Nigerian military conventionally. Boko haram is an insurgency - all over the world no army has ever had an easy time defeating them. However, boko haram has indeed been defeated in Nigeria.

Secondly, you seem to forget that boko haram is not solely a Nigerian problem. All our neighbours from Chad to Cameroun to Niger are also struggling.

So really, what you've presented is not a convincing argument at all.

Nigeria does not even need to put boots on the ground. Between our airforce and army aviation, Niger can have all its critical infrastrictire reduced to dust within 24 hours.
