Why would my parent choose whom to marry for me? this is not 1970s.

@Topic, to be honest with you, I don't know. My family means a lot to me esp my mother. and I want her to share special moments with me especially my happiest and saddest moments. But at the moment, I have a love in my life that I honestly love and treasure so much. And I  don't think I can live without him. Now if my parent were to opposed to him if let say he wants to marry me, I honestly don't I will take it easy.

I think it save to say my reaction will entirely depends on the situation at that moment. I honestly can not tell what I will do.

There must be a reason why my parents dont LIKE the person.if the reason is reasonable,fine!if not,i'd do what i please.
It's my life.no one aint gon live it with me.
