People outside government always have better ideas but give them the baton they will fail woefully.

Mumu talk. There's no more room for military take over in Africa.

Everything is still on the table

Mali has had a coup since 2022, same with Burkina Faso, what did Ecowas do?

So which 'There's no room for coup in Africa' are you singing?

Is it because Niger is poor and closer to us?

I agree Sule Lamido to an extent. From "subsidy is gone" proclamation to cutting power supply to Niger with threat of war, it is obvious President Tinubu needs a bit of circumspection and consequence analysis in making policy decisions.

Those who are high on hard drugs don't weigh options before they speak. I no call person name oooo.

ECOWAS 15 members country organization declared military exercise not Tinubu

.
You guys are too unstable and flippant for good reason.
If Niger junta had bowed to military threat and restored Bazoum to power, you guys would have shut down the Internet with songs of praise and adoration for your god with such epithets like "Jagaban for a reason".
Now that he has lule you remember it's Ecowas and not Tinubu that declared military threat.
You guys should have some shame and sit this out.

The main problem president BAT has isn't really just that he's a novice in International Diplomacy; rather, he's impulsive, which has always been one of his weaknesses - of course, we all have our weaknesses. Unfortunately, impulsiveness and unbridled pride go hand in hand. I just wish his close handlers could find a way to curtail his weakness in this regard; else, Nigerians are in for a long rough ride.

Up till date, he is still secretly regretting the impulsive declaration of an end to the petroleum subsidy regime without first perfecting and implementing cushioning mechanism before the formal end of the petroleum subsidy regime, which his inner circle had earlier suggested and to which he assented.

He is not trying to be helpful

Talking for his ego

Was Obama an expert in foreign policy, Macron ,Trudeau, Sunak?

The job of president is not to know everything . rather he should know his limits and how to consults and seek advice
There is no evidence that Tinubu has not been consulting quite the opposite
Even with the best advice wrong decisions will become wrong only with hindsight as in Libya Iraq Syria etc

You think only humans direct affairs of a country abi? Shebi Muslims and the North are trying to send traditional worshippers from Ilorin, the gods will pay them back one way or the other.

It's not about Obi so keep him out of this

The lie is in claiming ecowas threatened military invasion when it was pretty clear before the first Ecowas meeting that military was the first and topmost item on Tinubu's list as response.
Ecowas was functioning when coups occurred in three West African countries and there was no threat of military intervention.
Like i said, if the threat was successful, none of you asslickers will give credit to Ecowas.
We all see how you give credit for everything happening in Lagos to Tinubu.
No one is fooled with your denials

He's been like that. Just that his media handlers and fans usually whitewash his wrong utterances. Calling a governor "eleyi" is wrong.
Saying "emilokan" in reference to the presidency is disastrous
The difference then was that there was no direct consequence for such words and his media propagandists usually turn such gaffes into political soundbites. The game is different now and it's unraveled.
You can see them claiming he never made a threat of war on Niger but ecowas did.

what makes lamido or even you an expertise or consultancy on int'l diplomacy
The problem with most of you is cheap access to data everybody can now carry phone and type like they know it all

For those making these all about Tinubu, is ecowas referendum made up of only Tinubu or is Ecowas stand different from Tinubu

Upon referendum if majority of the members of Evowas agree on war, what can Tinubu do, these is a west african matter, and Tinubu as ecowas head is answerable to member not Nigerians, peter obi or pdp dictations.

Coup is becoming a trend in africa and nothing will serve national security better than a "deterrence" naa from far person dey avoid sharp object pointing to the eye

ECOWAS didn't cut electricity to Niger, keeping the whole country in darkness. And I bet after all this palaver is over, they will pursue their dam construction with far reaching consequences for our Kainji dam.

PBAT should just ignore these Northerners and allow ECOWAS do the needful on Niger republic... If it's to send soldiers to go and be killing Igbos in East in same Nigeria, you'll see them cheering with full glee.

Simple thing.. the over 22+ million good citizens of Niger republic have the right to a democracy, not illegitimate take over of power. What ECOWAS is simply saying to the coupist is.. back down now and restore constitutional order or we use force to do the needful.

What do you expect from a PDP member who's party failed to win the presidential elections.

President Tinubu couldn't have made the decision himself.

A former Governor doesn't have sense.
