Some protesters are currently on the streets in defiance to the ban on demonstrations by the police.

The state commissioner of police, Mohammed Usain Gumel, had banned protests after members of the ruling New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) and the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) asked their members to pour on the streets over alleged bribery of the judiciary.

The commissioner said any attempt to disrespect the ban would be treated as an offence against National Security.

He said, “Members of the public should therefore note that it has come to our knowledge that both the APC and the NNPP members are currently mobilizing rented crowd in the guise of Civil Society Coalition and without clearance from the leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress and without prior approval from the security agencies in the state.

“Both organizers as well as the umbrella body should note that any attempt to disrespect NLC and the Security Agencies in the state, by playing around the fragile security situation, which the combined security agencies have been managing, is not only uncivil, criminal but also an offense against National Security.”

But shortly after the order, the protesters converged on the streets and headed for the Government House.

The President, Kano Civil Society Forum (KCSF), Ibrahim Waiya, led the protest to the Government House.

Smh. The issue is Tinubu is spoiling for a war to prove a point

Buhari formulary used on the south. Tinubu wants to invade Niger on a personal level because he has a point to prove.

Take a look at the Nigerian,Malian and Burkinabe soldiers. Hardship and series of battles with all sort of militai groups have made them hard knocks.

Nigeria won't live up to the biggness attached with its name just because of some quick groupies assembled together.

If you look at our soldiers over the past decade they're young, timid and naive best only for killing snakes in forests and taking selfies with them.

Nigerian army has been greatly sabotaged by nepotism. From the mass resignations of the highly trained ones to their forceful dismassal a strategy to avoid overthrowing the Sitting president, the lqcuna this creates leaves large room that will need plenty of time to fill.

Nigerian soldiers should be clearing gutter, bushes, plucking wild forest fruits, carrying bags for oga madam, hunting for animals when they sleep in bush etc than be promoted to major warfare. We don't have the capacity.

Revolution will happen, few years from now, when poverty has united and humbled the Igbos, the Yorubas and the Hausas and other tribes.

That guy is right. The Nigerian Army is no longer what it used to be. This war, should it happen, is just going to send thousands of Nigerian youths in their early 20s to early graves. And ego is blinding some of you from recognising this.
