African countries don't practice democracy. The colonial powers foist corrupt politicians on them who treat them anyhow and that's why the people celebrate military coups.
Democracy is expensive and when it's not people oriented it becomes useless and military government become acceptable.

I hope the new military emperors won't spend 56years like Bongo undecided This was how everyone was jubilating when Bongo took over in 1967 grin. The problem is not democracy but those who are running it and an average black man is full of greed. The problem of most black nations is greed and not the type of government undecided

This is to tell you how African citizens are fast embracing military juntas who they once detest, but now accepting them back. Because he that is down fears no fall. No military regime can be worse than what we currently have as civilian governments.

The first true attribute of democracy is the ability to elect leaders of our choice, but no, they rig elections, unleash thugs on people they perceive not as their supporters, beat up electorates, snatch ballot boxes even with the help of security agents, write results and announce it. And expect you to accept that as democracy , and tell you it is better than military government. If this is what they call democracy, sane African societies are telling them they will rather accept military government.

If the judiciary does not restore confidence , I am afraid for Nigeria, the whole world may soon read same story on headlines of various media outlets just like Mali, Guinea, Niger, and now Gabon , even though we do not wish for such

Democracy is no doubt the best form of governance, but has been widely abused by African leaders. Do not think for a second a military dictatorship could solve the problem of Africa. We need to return to democracy where all the institutions of governance function properly to counter any attempt by the politicians to exploit its weaknesses. We need "peoples centric" governance.

I'm not and will never be in support of military rule...

But to think that some african leaders still hold onto power even in democracy for years as if it is a monarchical system is baffling....

Africans deserve better than the type of selfish leaders we've been punished with..

Holding unto power isn't bad in itself. But when power is held unto and the people are being impoverished, then there will be resentment.

Arab states are notorious for long serving rulers but in most cases, they share the wealth which prevents rebellion.

If leaders can ensure good governance and welfare of the people, am not sure if the citizens will care if the leaders dies in power

This is a serious warning to the Nigerian judiciary that all eyes are on them. The masses ain't happy, nobody is smiling at all. And for Reno omokri that like attacking the obidient movement I just dey pity am. He doesn't know he is gradually losing relevance.

N/b. Am a strong atikulated personality. I honestly don't have anything against Tinubu, what am against is the process that brought him into power. I think it was corrupt
