Originally called Igweocha and nicknamed garden city because of its neatness, greenery and fine design, it has now become an oil hub with its numerous environmental shortcomings. Igweocha is still a great industrial, commercial, and entertainment city.

Lol, Igbos will never seize to amaze me, a thread to create the biggest cities in SE, Your Common sense which is not common should tell you that the developed part of Aba is just an area in Ogun State or just an area in Oyo state.
The more compact it is, the more visible the development for a developing nation like Nigeria.
Imo state is better than the big for nothing Oyo state right? Agreed.
Lagos
Ogun
Oyo
Osun
Ondo are all doing better than your states combined.
Thats how one mumu was saying one Igbo man with a car and some hotels is a billionaire, everybody from that region automatically turns billionair

MrEverest:

Poor education is really affecting you guys badly. What has landmass got to do with cities?

Are you aware that the entire SW is about the same size with Niger state. Does it now mean Niger state is more developed?

Meanwhile, Imo State has a bigger GDP than your big-for-nothing Oyo state.

The reason why most SW cities are rusty and dilapidated is due to multi-dimensional poverty. Most of those rusted roofs are obviously leaking yet they can't afford to change them talk less of building large number of decent houses.

Enugu, Onitsha, Aba and P.H are also relatively old cities yet they continue to evolve and develop because the inhabitants are not dirt poor.

Aba is 27.8mi square. The most beautiful places in Aba no pass 9mi square, the rest are villages

Onitsha is 20mi square, the developed place in Onistha no pass 10mi square. The rest are villages and scums

Ikeja alone is 19 Mi square

Ten Biggest and most beautiful cities in Igboland in no particular order.
You may have heard Igboland is landlocked, erosion ravaged etc but nobody tells you Igboland is the most urbanized ethnic homeland not just in Nigeria but in Africa.
Below are the top ten cities in Igboland. I'll start with Aba.

Aba
Aba is a great commercial, industrial, sports and entertainment city. It is one of the best planned cities in Nigeria.

Can you post the videos of your 5 South east states.
One can take picture of one GRA in different places to make 10 beautiful pictures but video will tell us the truth.
Please, post the videos.Let us compare the entire Igboland with the city of Ibadan.
We want see something. grin

Igboland is gravely underdeveloped with scanty buildings and infrastructures.

This is the real Igboland.

Remove Asaba and Port Harcourt. The people there say they aren't Igbos.

What's all these for? Kudos if Igbos achieve more.

It is when others praise you that it really counts.

You still dey count Portharcourt as ’Igboland’?
It shows your comical delusion is unending.

At no time was Portharcourt‘ ‘originally called Igweocha’. Igbo people nicknamed Portharcourt igweocha same way they call Kano, Kaduna etc Igwuawusa, Europe and America as obodo oyibo but why they don’t include these places as ‘Igboland’ is what I don’t get.

If your ipod primitive and criminal activities of butchering, cannibalism and shit at home has not shown you where your Igboland begins and ends, I don’t know what will. Anyway, fantasy is free after all.

This is Ibadan and it is more developed than the entire Igboland.
Ibadan has more than 10 GRAs and we can post 50 beautiful pictures by taking pics of just 4 of them from different angles.
That is deceitful.
Videos will show the true state of the locations.
Everybody knows that Ibadan is more developed than the 5 SE states combined.

attested to this by fleeing when he was told to post Igboland videos against Ibadan city only.
lol
A city against a whole region and all Igbos are afraid to post their grave underdevelopment videos.

don’t b stupid bro

Ibadan has a landmass that is more than 3 states in Igbo land n in Ibadan u have d old settlement n new settlement, u igbos that have never been to Ibadan snap d old settlement n don’t know about d new one

Check YouTube n see the new settlements that are better than all those pictures u combined, u igbos are yet to come to terms with the fact that what obtains in your region is different from what obtains in other regions

In Ibadan u can have 15 houses n build all on virgin land without demolishing any land, in Igbo land u have to demolish old buildings to build new ones

My father has 5 buildings in Ibadan built on virgin lands n my mom has 2, those brown roof according to our history my great grandfather have houses in it but i have never been dere before n my parents don’t even go there or know how it goes, see in Yoruba land even if u have 200 trillion u dare not demolish family monuments

U will rather go n build whatever u have to build elsewhere, those brown roof u are ignorantly talking about all governors of pho state both past n present can trace their root to the place so are u telling us a whole governor can’t demolish it n build another structure?

So ladoja , lamidi adeshina, ajimobi n co don’t have 100 million that they can use to rebuild only their family house not to talk of other big people

The most annoying thing about u igbos is that u are ignorantly aggressive, u will b willing to fight over what u know nothing about

One fool up there said poverty, look at d case of d dead military general that hit front page that his families are fighting over properties, his houses at sun city abuja are valued at around 1.4 billion with many properties in Ibadan n same man is also from the brown roof

So are u also saying it is poverty that didn’t make him build another house there or he doesn’t have money

Nawah for u igbos, u will b saying what u know nothing about n also b telling people that knows better to keep quiet

Many of u dingbats even believe many of us are typing from those houses when we have never even been dere before

Ibadan is not so big as you try to exaggerate and it is not modern. I've been there 3 times and the people there will be arguing it's larger than Lagos which made me laugh. Ibadan isn't much larger than Port Harcourt and Benin City but it is clearly larger than Aba and Enugu just in Landmass. Most residential houses in Ibadan are either bungalow or a storey building while most residential houses in Aba are 3 to 6 storey meaning the landmass is almost the same. Wastage of land by building too many bungalows doesn't make a city better.
