Fake and sensational news. Gbajabiamila's license was suspended simply because he stopped practicing law in the state of Georgia and hence has no reason to keep paying annually for the license. This is a very fraudulent and dishonest report from People's Gazette as usual.

Oga, you are not his spokesperson.

Allow him to defend himself.

Think about it, why do I need to practice Law in a foreign country when I am already successful in my own country, and even more successful than when I was in the foreign country?

Also what if the judgment against gbaja was a biased one and he chose to leave? There is always two sides to a story

An attorney can't just run with his client money and still wait to attend the hearing
Think about what?

It's not about practicing or money!

It's about integrity and good name for the government of Nigeria.

If all that matures, he wouldn't have attained the position he is today. Maybe there is something we don't know or chose to ignore

You guys keep defending corruption and evil due to selfish and ethnic interest. Nigeria has always been a sanctuary for criminal and corrupt elements, but now under Tinubu it's even worse because these criminal elements are now running the affairs of the country at the highest level of the Executive and Legislative arm of Government. You know that in saner climes someone like Gbajagbiamila would not have risen to the level where he is today with that kind of baggage. But then, this is Nigeria where politicians get away with almost anything.knowing that people like you will be there to use sentiment to defend them.
I am not defending corruption but in a saner clime(whatever that means because no where is sane in the world) people like will not be jumping into conclusions without verifying and waiting for Gbajabiamila"s reaction.

I will remind you. Jesus said, if you know you have never committed any sort of iniquity, you're free to cast the first stone. And everybody left.

No one is as righteous as God!

We have a criminal organisation running our affairs, we know it, but for known reasons we refuse to have sense.
From the top to bottom, name one person that does not have a funny history? From forged documents, drugs, stealing etc, all de there.
Will anyone employ a person known to have a criminal past handle his personal business for him? Will a church nominate a crook as the offering bag handler? Will you keep you bananas under the care of a monkey?
One day we will have sense.

am just wondering that a nation should have 80% of people of questionable characters as political leaders in governance, shaping the direction of policy thrust of government, yet the citizens are expected to be hopeful and optimistic of a better tomorrow.
we are basically watching how such miracle will be manifest in the lives of the gullible citizens. i.e how possible is a better tomorrow when itchy fingers are on the beats of the economic lyrics ?
time will tell.

Maybe as usual, it was a "civil" matter, not a "criminal" matter.

I might be wrong though, I didn't bother to read it details.

Gazette has played fast and loose with its tilted reporting yet again.

Yes it is true that a dishonest Gbajabiamila had his license suspended for 36 months in 2007.
But then according to the State Bar of Georgia, it appears that the permanent termination mentioned above was strictly because dishonest Gbajabiamila subsequently became delinquent with his license fees - and nothing more.

A moot point in the scheme of things, I know, but accuracy is what underpins balanced and fair reporting in journalism. cool

A brilliant observation.
