Besides Ukraine, do not sleep on any country on that list.

In the Asia-Pacific, the largest economies in descending order are China, Japan, India, South Korea, Australia, then Indonesia.

This is by nominal GDP. By GDP (PPP): They're #4 in the Asia-Pacific (China, India, Japan, Indonesia) and #7 in the world (China, US, India, Japan, Germany, Russia, Indonesia, Brazil, France, UK).

Don't think that because you've not heard about anyone emigrating there, then nothing is happening in Indonesia.

I'm sure that out of 454k engineering graduates in Russia, 99% of them majored in gun/nuke/ammunition engineering.

Without Engineers no Electricity, computers, phones, chemicals, high rise buildings, cars, aircrafts, Even medical doctors depend on advances in Engineering for excellent job. Nigeria's got a long way to go.

You can see the correlation between the number of engineering graduates and the development of these countries. In Nigeria, we have brilliant engineers in the thousands. But the sordid situation is that the government doesn't take engineering education serious. Little or no support to technical education. That's the reason that we are not innovative. The fact is, a country can not grow beyond the quality of its engineers.
