I believe educational credentials are personal documents of an individual to be used by such individuals in proving their qualifications and it is the owner who has a right to grant the view of it to any other person.
If the US court is to grant such rule will set a bad precedent where someone can just ask of the private credentials and will be granted. If he chose not to show it that’s his choice. The Atiku’s attorneys should have asked inec who is the body conducting election in Nigeria to provide the certificate presented to them by Tinubu, if they should need it.

It seems you didn't know what was at stake. Tinubu is no more a private person again. He has become a public identity. He lost his privacy the day he came out to contest for the post of a president. If you read the two judgements carefully, you will notice where it was stated that Atiku interest supersedes Tinubu's right because Tinubu has submitted the certificates to vie for an election in Nigeria and Atiku stated the purpose he wished to use it.
I know if it was just for fun of getting it, the courts would not have yielded to the request. And also if Tinubu wasn't a public officer, the request would not have been accepted by the court but Tinubu public status gave Atiku upper hand.
