Lolzzzz... This country is a joke. The govt's knee-jerk response each time tells u about how unprepared they are for anything. Majority of Nigerians are either unemployed, self employed or underemployed and are all affected by the inconsiderate policies of the govt. What exactly are the measures to alleviate their sufferings? One would have thought the govt had plans and measures in place to cushion the effect on transportation costs and inflation especially but instead they are busy bragging about sharing food to a select few and sharing monies to an imaginary populace.

Tinubu doesn't have knowledge about Nigeria, so he is doing haggling with NLC. I can bet workers will be owed. Nigeria is on autopilot. grin grin grin angry

Tinubu is not like some state governors who owe their workers.
Even without federal allocation, he still managed the huge labour force of lagos.
Till date lagos state pensioners are more guaranteed of being payed than even FG pensioners.

It's a very positive from he the president, except Labour wants him to make it 100k while the dollar continues its free fall making the 100k more worthless than it can ever be.

And yes, the president is in a toggle to pay these cash while also managing inflation.
We should give accolades and hope for more not just destructive criticism when you can't proffer even 50% solution.

Labour Union should enforce the payment at state and local Government level. That is where poverty is.

I know some old retirees cursing him, the way he hurriedly took them to Stanbic pension, just few years before their retirement and many of them lost millions, because their gratuity was not paid for those years they were not enrolled under the new scheme. cheesy grin grin grin

Govt of promises powered by propaganda and lies 🤥

Recall how the promise of palliatives to the states turned from #5bn per state to #2bn per state then eventually resulted in an entire ward getting 10kg bag of rice to share.

You gonna wait for N35,000 salary increment tire .

Good thinking but Labour can't. States & I think LGs are under the purview of Governors. FG sort out FG staff and Governors their state staff

What FG does for states indirectly is provide funds for states, direct cash transfer, and other palliatives that will reach the lower cadre

Lol Very funny analogy.. but from an uneducated perspective.

What FG & Labour have been doing is simply Negotiation!

Just De play. Keep referencing history. Because your ancestors won the tribal war against your neighbouring village in 1800 is why you want to raise them from the dead to champion and lead the Nigerien invasion in 2023. Anuofia

With all these interventions what remains of the benefits of removing subsidy?
Nigeria was managing herself until Tinubu listened to Obi to remove subsidy. Now it is trouble everywhere. If you pay government workers what about those who have no job at all?
Remember that anyone who has government job is regarded as the privileged few and are not seen as poor. They are rich and well paid.
If people we see as rich and well paid and in a regularly basis are complaining what about those without job at all?
Tinubus policies have stirred the hornet nest.

One thing I don't like about salary increment is inflation, the moment salaries are increased, before you know everything goes up, at some point you see no value for the money, then it ends up affecting the non working population, may God help us sha
