Let's Be Honest, Who Has Ever Experienced A Miracle? by Nobody: 11:39am On Oct 21, 2011
I'm not referring to everyday miracles like waking up everyday, not been hit by a car etc.

I believe in being rescued when u are broke by a stranger, getting a ride home when u'rs breaks down in the middle of the night etc.

My question is who has ever been healed of AIDS, epilepsy, diabetes, paralysis, cancer etc by prayers?

Please in all honesty who has ever experienced one? I'm not referring to hear say. Who on Nairaland has received a verifiable miracle before?

I'm not talking of being cured from headaches or ur injury got healed or other trivial stuff. I mean life threathning ailments that disappeared after prayers.

We wouldn't mind seeing u'r before and after pix or medical certificates too.

Gaggi you do not need to see miracles to beef up your faith, why would you want to serve God because of miracles, where did, 'I love you Lord, just because of Who You are'' go?

Testimonies of miracles can beef up faith. If God can do it for one person ,he can do it for another under similar circumstance . Testimonies are important. How did people have faith To come to Jesus ? They heard the testimonies of others and they had faith to come .

Afterall the poster has heard other people testifying to God's Miracle, so why hasn't it beefed up his faith??

Miracles are real! I would tell you this to encourage your heart and strengthen your faith in God.Okay.

I got healed during the Night of Bliss that was held at Excel Arena in London of a very severe pain that has defiled all medical diagnosis and treatment!

To cut the long story shut, had severe pains that got me admitted for two weeks at the hospital laying down and only able to look up for much of the two weeks!

Several test was done by specialist and I was kept in close observation by the doctors day and night!

I attended NOB London, and during the worship and praying session, I just went on worshiping God for who he is. Next, I felt my whole body vibrating, with so much heat like I never felt in my life! My body joints warmed up and it kept vibrating. It got to point I felt so strong and I stood on my legs! Glory to God forever!!!

After the event, I went back to the doctors (this happened in the UK by the way)and they did thier test again and couldn't believed what they saw! I was not only healed but I was strengthened haven been made whole completely! So strong and well, praise be God forever more!

For me, I know miracle is real and real today! I can never doubt God and His mighty powers at work. All I just do is BELIEVE in God.

Back in medical school, I used to find it strange how much many of the professors (especially the surgeons) hated pastors. Some of them would abandon whatever topic they were meant to teach and spend hours cursing and abusing men of god. When i started seeing patients, I found out why.

My first patient was a 50 something year old woman with brèäst cancer. She told me that she knew early that the swelling was something bad and she immediately ran to church for prayers. The pastor there asked her to move into the church compound and kept her there for 8 months while the cancer spread throughout her body and became incurable.

By the time her family members ran out of money for "miracle offering" it had spread to her spine paralyzing her and there was a horrible foul-smelling sore on her chest. The same pastor then came back to kick her out of the church asking her to "go to LUTH". She died a few weeks later.

It turns out that the reason why cancer survivial rates are so abysmal in Nigeria is because of pastors and imams (plus YemKem tradomedical fraudsters) that convince patients to delay proper treatment while milking them out of their money.

And in all my years as a doctor, I have never seen a single patient with a terminal disease get healed by a pastor. Not one. And I've been looking.

^Miracles will not beef up your faith. If it were so a whole generation of Israelites would not have perished in the wilderness and all Israel would have accepted Jesus as Messiah.
For we walk by faith, not by sight:

But the question here is: who has ever experienced a miracle?. I don't think that is a hard question to ask a medical doctor.

I suffered from a serious case of anxiety disorder for 17 years. It was absolute torture for me to stand in crowds, especially during silent times where I have to concentrate on someone addressing the crowd. I will always want to shift my legs, read something, eat something, whatever, I just couldn't sit still and standing was worse because my legs will be weak and shaky and my hands sweaty. Flying was a nightmare for me and heights like stadiums were also a challenge.

I first experienced the power of God when one guy confronted me with the gospel and I felt conviction. I wasn't feeling well after that (the feeling of conviction where you cannot even drink a beer as usual) and I knew that he was telling the truth but I was young and I wanted to enjoy life and I was also scared to go to church because of my fear of crowds that comes with the anxiety.

Seven years later, I was touched again by the Holy Spirit during a Bible study where we were watching a video of a certain pastor. I know it was the Holy Spirit because it was the same as the first encounter and I will experience His touch again later. I was also feeling similar to what I was feeling 7 years earlier. Almost like sadness. I went to my friends who were at a certain bar. By this time I had already stopped drinking. As I was sitting there with my friends I listened to their stories and they sounded so sinful to me. I didn't even contribute to the conversations.

At that time, the anxiety became worse that I started having hard times sleeping. Sometimes I would sleep and I would wake up and when I look at the watch I have slept for less than 30 minutes. I wake up as if something external has awaken me. It would take a while before I sleep again. Then at work I will be tired . When I am with my friends I will be quiet and disorientated because of my poor quality and quantity of sleep. I also started getting panic attacks at night. When the time to sleep comes I would feel either a calming spirit or an eerie spirit. looking back I could only imagine that it was the Holy Spirit fighting another spirit. I think I have received the Holy Spirit but I wasn't praying, reading the word or attending church.

The anxiety and panic attacks forced me to see a doctor and the doctor said I had anxiety disorder. When this thing hit me 17 years earlier I thought maybe I am the only one who has ever had it. The doctor started to guess about the possible cause of my anxiety but I know exactly when and how the anxiety entered me. When I was a kid I enjoyed meditating using a certain technique that I discovered at the age of 6 or so. This is what opened the door for the anxiety demon to enter me on a certain day in 1992 at the age of 11. From that day, I somehow knew my life will never be the same again!

The doctor referred me to a psychologist who gave certain meditation techniques and medication to control the anxiety. I think that controlled the anxiety during the day but then I will get anxiety attacks in my sleep! The medication also made me too drowsy during the day that I could not concentrate at work. The eerie feeling when sleeping time came continued. The anxiety was also heightened by certain factors at work and in my personal life.

I had gone to the psychologist for 5 or 7 sessions which was the maximum per year and he told me I can come back next year for more sessions. I started reading some booklets and my Bible before going to sleep. One day as I was reading this booklet with a prayer of salvation, I told myself I will read the prayer tomorrow but the Holy Spirit was too strong that day and he came upon me like a wave of electricity throughout my whole body and more waves entered my body from head to toe. My heart started beating fast and I was breathing fast. I slept like a baby that day and I woke up so fresh.

During the day, I was thinking about what happened. It was something I couldn't understand. When I went to sleep again, it happened again and I woke up so fresh the next day again. I attended one crowded meeting at work within a few days and I was a different person. No anxiety! I knew that again, my life will never be the same again, that I was healed that I was filled with the Holy Spirit and a born again child of God!

Luk 13:11  And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself.
Luk 13:12  And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.

God healed me one year earlier!

But the anxiety was not completely gone. I started attending church and still struggled with anxiety a bit sometimes (but take note that uneasiness in a crowd is normal to a certain extend) over time though, as I started attending church, I could feel as if things were coming out of me (demons being expelled). I am now very free indeed. A cannot suffer from anxiety anymore. I fired off an e-mail testifying about what God has done to my psychologist who was expecting me back the next year but he didn't reply.

I don't know if that qualifies as a miracle or not but I am looking forward to my next flight, my next interview, my next public address and so on, because Jesus Christ has set me free. I am now free even to marry because I was so worried about how I could manage to sit in front of the church for the whole service when I even struggled to walk to the stage for a few seconds to collect my achievement certificates in school.

If there's anyone who is afraid of crowds or any other fears, especially if you know exactly when it started and how it started, now you know that it is not from God but from the devil:

2Ti 1:7  For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

After reading this, I know that you know the truth and the truth will set you free. Jesus Christ has set you free the same as He did for me. It is now up to you to walk in this liberty wherewith Christ has set you free.

Glory be to God!

You can't sit down at home, without moving out to places or churches or crusade ground, where miracle happen and where people give testimonies about real miracle that God has done, and claim that it is a deception. Please, investigate the authenticity of all miracles, you have been hearing, but not seen with your eyes wide open. God bless you. God2man.

my friend in lagos who was a victim of long sleeves during the sierra leone civil war also needs a miracle. I really just cannot understand why all the church pastors he visits refuse to heal him

Then you're not ready for a miracle if you can't believe in miracle . You need to have a sincere open heart .God is still healing people.

Will someone please explain to why it is that modern miracles are never verifiable by third parties? I can understand if I don't get healed because I don't believe, but what about my friend in secondary school who died of sickle cell disease a few years after being healed by Pastor Adeboye?

What about all my patients with terminal cancer who go to get healed in church but die a few weeks after? Is it that none of these people truly believed? Or is it that miracles only happen when no one is looking?

That's not how miracles were described in the bible. When Jesus healed someone, it was always clear to everybody what had happened. There was never any doubt, even among unbelievers.

If I could get even a little evidence that Pastor Chris and co. were actually healing people (instead of collecting their money and filling their heads with nonsense), I'd be happy to refer patients to them. The reason I don't is because the is no such evidence. Instead, I can build a pretty strong case that they are a bunch of disgusting fraudsters who prey on the weak and desperate.

When a child receives a gift, he might not necessarily take care of it properly unless with the help of an elderly person
But if an adult is given a gift, it is his responsibility to care for and retain that gift
It's the same scenario here, when God heals a man, demons are cast out. But it is his responsibility of that man to keep that healing though he might need to be taught how
But if he doesn't do anything about it, the bible says

1 Peter 5:8
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

When the devil finds out you are doing nothing about your healing, he will reinforce and come back with more violent demons which in some cases, might lead to death

So you're saying that it's my friend's fault that he died of sickle cell disease? And all those people who are "miraculously healed" but continue experiencing symptoms and are still suffering and dying? Is it their fault too?

Imagine if I collected your money and gave you a brand new phone. And then when you tried to turn it on you discovered that it was actually a piece of wood. Would you accept it if I told you that it was because you didn't believe hard enough that the phone turned into wood? Because that is what you're suggesting in your last post.

It's funny that conmen are allowed to operate openly and freely as long as they add a little religion to their game. The only difference between guys like pastor Chris and the YemKem tradomedical fraudsters is the jheri-curl and the bible. In all other ways they are the same.

For your information, some healings and miracles are not instantaneous, they take a gradual process
But it's in the place of the person involved to continuously hold on to his healing until he sees the complete manifestation
