Barrier may not be the solution to the problem. The question here is : what's the root cause for this truck re-occuring accident?
Is there any proper checking at the source at which the truck load a product or carry a perticular goods. if this could be better check there is no need for barrier on the rood side.

Installing barriers is not the solution. Sooner or later trucks will either crash into the barriers or miscreants will destroy them. They simply need road signs indicating no trucks on the bridge. We know the truck drivers are stubborn and reckless.... and we said the same of wrong way car drivers. Were barriers used to stop wrong way car drivers? ... or was it enforcement of laws and consequences? Same can be applied to the bridge. Any truck using the bridge .... heavy fine for the driver and confiscation of the truck and goods. Instead of spending ... the City can earn through fines and sale of these vehicles.
