I’ve never heard anybody call osun poverty capital city.

Ebonyi retains that title
You've never read their comments here. To them, Osun State is a poor state with no sources of revenue and completely dependent on federal allocations

Why is it that south east have 5 states, and also have no boundaries with other countries, rather she is landlocked by south south.

Naturally you are not smart at all. IGR is just a by product of taxation. it is never an indication of Economic prosperity. Per Capita income is the real indicator

Oversabi dey worry u.
We're talking about IGR here, that's what the topic read, simple as ABC. Nobody asked you about what it indicates, nobody asked you about economic prosperity or per capita income. That's how most of you normally failed simple questions.
If you want to tell story, you are free to create another topic about how you feel. Dullard

I still say it again you don't have sense Oyo state is miles below Anambra in GDP and per capita income.

bros looks at this way. you and your paddy are working in the same company but at dft location. your paddy is working at SE and earning 400k a month but you are working in Abuja and earning 1m a month. on paper you look richer than your paddy making 400k in SE. However your rent in abj, cost of transportation, food stuff if you have children, school fees and transport can bring your expenses of that to 800k leaving you with 200k as savings. now ur paddy in SE has his own expenses at 150k meaning he has 250k savings.... are you now better or richer than him? For you to know the success of IGR, you must breakdown to know how much was spent on recurring debts & expenditure, and how much was spent on capital projects or infrastructure. That is why you see a state like Ogun generating what the Entire SE generated but no developments to show for it. bad roads, owed salaries, gratuity & pension...
Tell me a state that is performing better than Ogun state in the southeast
Is it Abia that until recently owed doctors 30 months salary or Anambra that doctors had to go on 13 months strike over poor pay!

Lagos is a giant in Nigeria's commercial landscape, so I won't even go there. But what surprises me is the performance of the so called "brown roof" states of Ogun and Oyo.

Ogun state alone has a higher IGR than the entire South East and the entire North Central with the exception of FCT.

Oyo has IGR higher than 3 SE states and 4 North Central states.

Keep playing... 😎

Ogun state especially should have more than that, they benefit from Lagos but they have been having lazy governors who can't take advantage of their close proximity to Lagos.

Lagos should be far more developed than what it is today if not for the cabals that hijacked the state funds. Look at huge billions and ask yourself what have they achieved with it? Closing markets here and there

Stop parading ignorance. IGR is not a measure of economic progress as it only shows how people are being taxed. GDP per capita is the correct measure of economic progress. It's a very popular quote that no government can tax itself into prosperity. Heavy taxation is never an economic progress.

IGR in Nigeria is a mirage. A consuming nation has no place bragging about igr. This only exist on multiple and heavy taxation.

that is exactly what I am saying, no state is doing ok. if states were ok, naija would be ok. its the same issue with federally, huge revenue but more expenses leading to borrowing and drowning currency.

No, it wouldn't. IGR and GDP are deceptive numbers used by the western world to keep African economies where they are.
