Lol, do you see it answering BAIC or any other name aside Innoson? Of course, it's very expensive and unviable for an emerging company like Innoson to invest in body designing and customization. So, they liased with existing Chinese company for some of their brands. It doesn't mean the Chinese own Innoson, otherwise it would be answering BAIC, and not IVM.

Innoson produces most of its parts in Nigeria while sourcing others locally in Nnewi. It's called backward integration and that's how economies grow, not by bringing in vehicles in containers while the Chinese owners only employ few Nigerian labourers to do the mechanical work.

Igbos are not your mate!!!

Innonson cannot manufacture an ordinary screw.
Every component of those cars are shipped from BAIC Motors in China
He can continue to deceive himself.

Lol, you're now comparing this assembly warehouse that is just opened to Innoson? Who told you that Innoson imports all its required parts? Why not ask questions on things you're ignorant of?

Innoson produces its tyres, and all its plastic components including front and back lights in their Enugu factory.
They outsource their batteries from Ibeto in Nnewi.
Electricals from Cutix Nnewi.
Break pads, wipers, upholstery etc. from local producers in Nnewi.
The only parts they import is their engine and rolling sheets since we don't have functional steel plants. They have their moulds for shaping the sheets into the required shapes and sizes!

How can you compare such company with massive backward integration and technological transfer with GAC?

GAC is just like Pegeaut, Volkwagen, Mercedes etc that operated in Nigeria in the past. They were all operated by the foreigners from their parent company and only employed few underpaid Nigerians to do the labourer works. So, in essence, they add little or no value to the local economy. Worse still, they will also convert their profits to dollars and repatriate to China, thereby crashing the naira even more. It is primitive tribalism that is making Sanwo olu and other bigots to be celebrating this nonsense instead of encouraging real vehicle producers like Innoson.

Who is comparing ? an Assembling plant is what is sounds like regardless of whether its donkey old or layers new

Innoson and GAC assembly technically serve the same purpose which is to assembly accessories into a finished product design.

Like i said, these is not about GAC vs Innoson, the lecture 101 is that Manufacturing and Assembly is not the same in real sense.

There are various stages in Manufacturing process and assembly line is just one of it. that cleared.

Do you know Iphones fondly used by americans are designed in US and assembly in china, can you elaborate on the economic woos again.

All the car assembly plants in America and elsewhere do not manufacture their parts, the parts are from hundreds 0f vendors all over the world, all they do is just assemble where they put all the parts together.

Even Toyota with decades of car making depends on car parts vendors, all they do is assemble parts from all over the world.

Your Inosson 70% rubbish is a lie.

Stop the illiterate talk, car makers don't manufacture parts, it's impossible, they depend on vendors and suppliers.

Toyota doesn't even manufacture their engines, it's done by outside vendors.

It is your father and his father before then that is an illiterate. grin
