INEC Officials Held Hostage In Brass LGA, Bayelsa by Antoeni(m): 3:28pm On Nov 12, 2023
Some officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) have been held hostage in the Brass local government area of Bayelsa state.
The commission revealed this on Sunday, November 12, in a statement posted on their X page

They called on the Police and other security operatives to investigate the situation and facilitate the release of the officials

The statement read: “Unfolding Situation in Brass Local Government Area. The Commission is closely watching the situation in Brass LGA of Bayelsa State where our officials are held hostage.”

“This is detrimental to credible elections. We call on the security agencies to immediately facilitate their release.”

The vote buying that took place in Bayelsa may be the highest in Nigeria's history.

Nobody really should expect anything from anybody that is eventually declared winner in the next four years cause they've paid already.

Jonathan is seen as hero today because he relinquished power...but it was his failure in the first place that got him ousted out, while people scrambled for a better alternative.
