How can you as a Man, be in a marriage and your wife dictates how you use your money! It puzzles me. I'm starting to think maybe there is a concoction that ladies out in guys food to make them mentally weak and submissive

My fiance once asked me how much do I earn, i told her "as long as I'm feeding, clothing and have a roof over her head, she doesn't need to know".

She once questioned me too on why I'm I sending my mother that much money in this economy. I told her "how is that her business, did I ever asked her why and how much he sends to get parents"!!

I'm not saying she shouldn't have an input in your finance, but there should be a limit and only if you ask for an advice. Ladies of these generation are not like our parents time, many of them purposely want to frustrate and belittle your authority as a man

I would begin by saying in as much as there are a whole lot of women out here and there doing this as you claim

There are very humble women too!

Next is, for me it is a vice versa thing because i have encountered scenerios where men do this as well

So for me, it is a bit of both:
OP is right on the aspect of men not being weak or too amenable to their women, the reason is that it makes the woman lose respect for the man and that can lead to her infidelity and a whole lot. I have seen that firsthand.

On the other hand, after putting your foot down on the respect aspect, the man should not shut the woman out in the key areas of the home like finances and planning. I disagree with the statement "so long I'm feeding you and putting a roof over your head"... I don't intend to solely feed, clothe and put a roof over a grown adult's head in the name of marriage or being head of the family. You must work and contribute your quota too, and you must respect me too while at it.

U can't even know my Finances or how I spend it,as my woman,you are not entitled to that,even as my wife. It's because the world system now tells men that it's ok to be feminine and be in touch with your emotions, making men effeminate and the thing is, the men don't see anything wrong with it afterall she is my "equal". Just listen to what comes out these days in the social media, the songs we listen to, the movies/series we watch and sadly even in the modern church(na this one dey pain me pass).

Also I think it has to do with men not getting their minds or bodies to work, juxtapose the fact we barely eat healthy food. An average Nigerian man don't read books(or even blogs), not just anyhow books but books that benefits him like the Bible(very important), books on Masculinity, history, self-improvement. Learn skills, excercise/work-out or at least take a walk, listen to podcasts on these subjects, move with men with like mindedness, create stuffs, do stuffs.

I just want that Godly Masculinity, where men acted like men in the home, church and society walking in the fear of God, submitting to His Word in scriptures.
