"Do You Know Your Traditional Norms Well Enough"? by codedgalaxy: 10:16am On Nov 18, 2023
There was this close relative of mine's wedding i attended yesterday.
It was an igbo traditional wedding.
the weather was pleasant that day so the venue was packed with joyous echo of both friends and loved ones making merry,
who have carved out time from their busy schedule in order to be present that day.
The ceremony went on seamless without any hitch untill it got to a point were a certain (marriage ritual) task had to be performed by both the bride and the groom,
The bride had been giving a blessed cup of palmwine,(iko mmanya) by her parents which was a symbol of their approval (consent) to the blissful union.
This cup of palmwine was to be taken to brides husband after a bit of playful search among the guest.
In the end the groom was to take a sip from her cup.and give the remaining content back to her to drink, unfotunately the groom didnt know and drank all the palmwine damn !
Damn Niggha just messed it all up.
Which begs the question,
"Do know your traditional rites well enough"?

he later realized his mistake mid way, by then all the content from the cup was already in his mouth damn !
What he did first was just as wild as what he did next.
He took his wife by the hand then went for a deep kiss in the process transfering some of the fluid left in his mouth to hers damn !
