Jagaban is raising another army for 2027.

These lots would be reserves for army group south, led by field marshal Mc oluomo.

These bailed inmates now owe their lives to him. When the need arises, they'll be called upon to pay repay back this act of kindness.

You sounding as if APC regards the law.

This is like a Christmas gift to these indigent people.

I commend the Federal Government, the Minister of Interior, the corporate organisations and philanthropists who pooled resources to help this category of Nigerians. May God bless everyone of them.

I hope the beneficiarie will change from their old ways, learn to obey the laws and not be misled against the law again. The ministry of social welfare can keep tab on them and those who stay law abiding be rewarded with the social cash transfer until they put their lives back together within the next 2 years.

Thank you President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for your heart of gold for the indigent and suffering Nigerians. Thank you for assembling this great team of competent and patriotic Nigerians. We will not stop praying for you and your team. God bless Nigeria for ever! Check my signature for free stuffs!

This boy abi manboy, you funny aswear. I thought State government or federal government order for release of inmates on compassionate ground. Since when did they start budgeting hundreds of millions to release inmates.

Oga release them on compassionate ground since the money still goes back to FG albeit with 50% missing due to corruption

At bolded was exactly what my instincts ask me 😢

100% currupt politicians are killing the future preference of this great nation called Nigeria 😭

It's amazing that Obasanjo who spent about 3 years behind bars failed to do anything about the prisons but here's Tinubu actually making some real change.

Prisoners are still humans.

It goes from Federal account to MoI ( correctional services) They cannot be released free of charge because you would need thousands of court applications and orders to do that. There are court orders that have placed these people in prison. You can't just pretend that the orders don't exist and tell them to go.

A lot of people think that corporate and government accounts are like personal accounts.
Thanks for the enlightenment..
However Nigeria rarely practice the rule of law..
They choose which law or court order to obey, so what makes this any different

Some of them are stated offenders and are in state prisons. So some money will come from donors )as said in the news) and go to states.

Not all will be like owó Àbú…

I know they will s.teal some money in the process sha. Make dem sha release the innocent ones.

I am surprised no one is seeing this gesture from this perspective. It shall be well with Nigeria!

Nonsense!

How much did we pay for those SUV's per lazy, sleeping head called lawmaker, 160 million naira, abi?.

And a good number of these people may be innocent or simply caught up in the system created by a corrupt and brutal police force.

This is simply for the show. Release them quickly and quietly.
