When I saw the names of countries where the doctors studied I began to wonder .... is the MDCN exam outdated?... and those who passed were those who studied in the countries where the exams are also outdated? .... or is it the exam is up to date with current practices and those who passed are those who studied in " better countries" where the exams are based on current practices?

Why are you so hellbent on spoiling the Nigerian name? People like you will attribute the worst things to this country, even things that haven't happened.

Medical Council need to check their syllabus n exam methodology .maybe their still operating ancient way of testing knowledge. This is d reason why a 2nd class graduate will go abraod n bag distinction.the medthods os different.

In medical schools, students are expected to use international textbooks. Many of those students are not sound educationally. Some of them couldn't cope academically in private medical schools in Nigeria. They had to attend medical schools in some substandard universities in some third world countries. If they are academically sound, they should try schooling in canada and usa medical schools. In most cases, they would get education loans or scholarship.

These people did not pass Jamb to gain admission into Nigeria Universities. But, because their from a wealthy homes, they have option to travel abroad to study.
So, do not blame our politicians for their failure
You are dumb 8f you still have this mentality. Poverty mentality that makes you people think people who attended private universities and schools abroad are Rich and failed JAMB.
You scored 300 in JAMB but we're given Botany, and same person went abroad or private university, does that mean such had failed?
Take your brain and visit a psychiatrist.
And mind you, even having 200 in JAMB is more than enough for you to be a doctor, Medicine is not about 400 in JAMB but about the interest, dedication and consistency in studying in medical school. Reason you will see someone with 250 graduating without a single resit or repeat but see someone with 330 failing out.
JAMB is basically for admission, it has nothing to do with intelligence or who will become a better professional. Use your brain, it's not for decoration

Medical professors in the UK and US will fail Nigerian MDCN exams. They structure the exam for the people to fail.
If you know how they twist their questions in Nigeria you'll pity Nigerian medical students. That's why Nigerian doctors do extremely well abroad where things are straightforward.

I'm sure, most of the ones that failed
went to Niger & Benin Republics.

The Niger ones will be generally abokis,
who did not pass WASCE well and can
hardly speak English, and the Benin ones
will finish WASCE and use 3 years to
study medicine in Cotonou❗️❗️❗️

Some from oyibo countries were not
taught the dangerous tropical diseases
we have in Africa, like malaria, kwashiorkor,
gentleman's disease, cholera and APC
caused malnutrition and are thus unable
to answer questions concerning those
common black man conditions.😁😁😁😁

I concur…those running to Niger, Sudan, Benin, Cyprus to read medicine would struggle to get up to 200 in JAMB. Most of them might not pass nursing and midwifery entrance exams at Ibadan or Nsukka.

So the Medical Council is out to brag I guess. Who doesn't know that exams in Nigeria are structured to fail people! Lecturers brag about how people can't pass their courses. School of pharmacy and medicine in most universities here in Nigeria are happy when students commit suicide and go on to tell new entrants that it is not for the faint of heart. Out there in Europe and other developed countries you have interactions with your lecturers on academic growth and good mental health. Let's not forget the other reason they will want people to fail; so some can pay through their noses to get the license.

Why won't they fail when they travel abroad to hustle dollars and pounds only...
We do their assignment and project, they only got the qualifications with our knowledge.
Don't forget to private chat me. I do assignment/project for international students

These foreign doctors were probably not trained or raised to face the rigourous and stressful ways Nigerian trained doctors are conditioned to write exams and pass them despite hardships of medical school.
They're probably not used to negative marking and unnecessary twisting of lexicon in the question to deliberately confuse you into failure.

When they sit for foreign exams like PLAB and USMLE, they'll usually ace them.
MDCN should probably look into itself as an exam body.

If it is organized anything like the way law school professional exam is conducted, then the failure rate is not surprising

Nigerian lecturers are sadists, most of them are happy with high failure rate and low percentage of people with first class.

Why don't they tell us the percentage of people from Nigerian Universities that failed as well?

I am pretty confident that the percentage will mirror that of the foreign trained students or surpass it sef.

It due to fact that they are more of Practical oriented than Theoretical aspect as in case of Nigeria where best graduate is equal to best Cramer

This might mean that there is something wrong with the exam questions and how they're set. The organizing body should check if the problem is from them
