Where Dr. Tunji-ojo Should Be Redeployed To After Success In Interior Ministry? by Jeboy(m): 1:25pm On Nov 29, 2023
Hello guys,

You will agree with me that it seems that the minister of interior is like the frontline minister under this government that is giving the masses joy with far reaching reforms especially starting with Automation of the International Passport processing with Immigration service. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2023/11/automation-of-passport-application-99-done-to-go-live-next-week-minister/amp/

Now going by his antecedents of the success of his reforms as above, which of the ailing ministry do you think Dr. Tunji-Ojo should be deployed to?

1. Police Affairs
2. EFCC or ICPC
3. INEC National Chairman

For me, I think INEC Chairman will be the right redeployment for Dr. Tunji Ojo because he will help deepening digital reform in INEC that will lead to online and diaspora voting. The question then will be if that is what his boss, the president will want?

Feel free to state which ministry out of the three or any other you think Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo of the ministry of interior should be redeployed to after achieving a good success and why?

He should stay put and ensure that a system is put in place that will ensure continuity.

He should prioritize the employment and promotion of workers who will follow his policies and improve them also

You're talking Pekingese. You mean the most loud mouth, most worthless, most good for nothing minister in this administration. The guy is a clown and nothing more. Go to immigration offices and see for yourself what is happening. All that mkpirimiri snuff addict is doing is to pay media houses to lie for him. Other ministers don't have time for that Peter Pan nonsense intelligence.

The Interior Ministry is not only about passports and documentation. Just give him 20% for now, which is a failure.

The Ministry of Interior in Nigeria is responsible for a wide range of core functions related to governance, security, and law enforcement. Some of its key responsibilities include:

1. Internal Security: The ministry plays a crucial role in maintaining internal security within the country. It works closely with law enforcement agencies such as the Nigeria Police Force, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), and the Nigerian Immigration Service to ensure the safety and security of citizens.

2. Immigration Services: The Ministry of Interior oversees the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), which is responsible for regulating and controlling the entry and exit of foreigners into Nigeria. It issues passports, residence permits, and other immigration-related documents, and also enforces immigration laws and regulations.

3. Civil Defense: The ministry is responsible for the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), which is tasked with ensuring the protection and safety of critical national infrastructure, such as oil and gas pipelines, electricity installations, and communication networks. The NSCDC also helps in disaster management and crisis response.

4. Correctional Services: The ministry is responsible for the Nigerian Correctional Services (formerly known as Nigerian Prisons Service). It oversees the management of correctional facilities, which includes the custody and rehabilitation of inmates, as well as the provision of educational, vocational, and skills development programs aimed at their reintegration into society.

5. Fire Services: The ministry oversees the Federal Fire Service, which is responsible for fire prevention, firefighting, and rescue operations at the federal level. It ensures the prompt response to fire incidents and provides public awareness campaigns to promote fire safety.

6. Interior Administration: The Ministry of Interior also engages in administrative functions such as policy formulation, budget implementation, coordination of activities among its agencies, and inter-agency collaborations. It ensures the efficient utilization of resources and the effective implementation of government policies and programs in the areas under its purview.

Are you expecting total change to happen in a day?

Let us say you supported Peter Obi like I did, do you think change will happen overnight. Please try and balance your views.

The only person I support is President Ganisucks. Everyone else is incompetent until proven otherwise. President Obi will have faults and failures just like Balabu.

Madam, are you also aware of his effort to decongest the prisons by paying up the charges of a quite number of inmates (I think about 4000 or so) with bailable charge offences?
