I once worked in a company where I heard that the company produced the highest number of cases of soft drink the very day of the Chairman's demise. What a way to celebrate 🎉 the owner's death! Spend time with yourself, not just with your family and friends. Life is short.

When the chairman of the group of companies I works with(Enpee) died last year even a minute silence wasn't observed on his behalf.

This remind me of a friend. who told me how a co-worker in their company died 2 days ago, just within 2 days, the company HR was busy cleaning out her office & had already employed and reposted another person in her position.

Yes is right cos businesses have to continue in absent of the living, so the dead were replaced in less than 48 hours

This person has given her all for this company, but her office position was replaced within just 2 days, while her home/family grief

Meanwhile, her family is still grieving the loss, she was a young wife and mother of two. NOW ASK ME HOW IS THE FAMILY GOING TO REPLACE HER

This is a reminder that you and I are much replaceable in other places, as well as other people's lives but not replaceable within our family system

A family business can be affected by the loss of one member. Have you ever seen thriving businesses suddenly go belly up? Many have because iof the passing of one person ... the heart of the business. No doubt... especially bigger businesses and corporations ... as an employee one is just a spoke in the wheel..... one spoke gets broken does the wheel stop rolling? Too many of us after some time in a job.... and doing a great job believe we are irreplaceable.... "they can't do without me". In our jobs we must always remember... the job was there before we came ... and will be there if we leave. Above everything .... we must put family first.

Nobody is indispensable.

When I see PPL at work intimidating other Junior or temporary staffs..I shake head in pity..

This is what I always told my team members when I worked offshore.

"If you get hurt or killed (God forbid), the chopper that is coming to carry you is also coming with your replacement."

7 employees died on the job across the country within 18 month. The management didn't even bury the dead as it should be. They simply got a lawyer waiting for the family incase they wanna do court case on the circumstances surrounding the death. Very horrible company then.

You sound like you are the HR of the company the deceased was working for . The @op just shared that to create awareness among people that while trying to fern for their families, to remember that family companion is also key. He didnt say business will not continue. The awakening of that consciousness by his writeup is very important. Some people denied such attention to their loved ones due to tight work schedule and later lose them and began to regret.

While meeting your famly's needs is good, trying to balance everything is crucial too. I guess that is what the poster is passing across.

When he went on leave by force, what he was covering not going on leave was exposed to management the reason he was sacked. He himself knew the day we went on leave was going to be his last day in the company. There are many employees like that.
