Can they (Igbo) go?
Fighting Nigeria at the same time romancing Nigerian presidency.if Igbo should exist Nigeria today, Biafra will be worst than Mexico and Colombia. A Banana Republic.

You are right.

Igbos are not democrats.

Their ancestors were, but they are not.

They've lost it.

Now it is if you don't follow the IPOB doctrine, you are an 'efulefu' (ie a lost idiot), and could get targeted for execution.

So you can easily tell which way such a region will go if it gains sovereignty...........repressive, authoritarian rule, human rights abuses, and banana republic status.

IGBO Land is actually a barren land. That is why it is only the EAST that contribute ZERO to our ECONOMY. Other Regions contribute immensely to the economy

You are very smart.

I remember a while back when Arewa youths gave Igbos an ultimatum to leave the north in a week, how Ohaneze and other Igbo groups sent delegations to beg them to reverse the order.

Imagine deporting 12 million Igbos from the north to the East? It would be the worst humanitarian catastrophe in world history, and lead to mass starvation of Igbos.

Haven’t even mentioned the 10 million Igbos in the west also getting deported.

Igbos who have basic common sense - usually the well-educated ones, know that secession is simply not feasible at this point.

This is not 1967. The nation today is far too intertwined and interdependent to contemplate ethnic secession.

See the moment when Obi of Onitsha and other first Class Kings in the East went to beg Northerners in the North. grin grin

Unfortunately for them, they have to go..

It was machete our people used on them in the last governorship elections in Lagos when they attempted to usurp Yoruba political structure in a State in Yorubaland... next elections might involve guns and beheading of those irritants if they don't leave in one piece now.

How will you leave Anambra and be fighting to enthrone Chinedu over Yorubas in Lagos.. se ori iya e ti daru ni or what?
Those people don't know their boundary atal and we'll chase them away for good.

As you get guns, we no get guns too?

Do anyhow and see anyhow.

Okponu.

Where is the milk and honey

Your land flows with milk and honey yet you can't stay in your region to enjoy it?
There is not corner in Nigeria where you won't find igbos hustling.

Northerners Igbos are not the problem. Igbos can go a thousand times if they so wish. But the issue is if Igbo is left to exit even the Yorubas who say that Fulanis are the best combination to them after Amala and Ewedu wouldn't want Nigeria again.
This is the fear.
The truth is that no one wants to be with the north. If north leaves the southern regions will change the constitution to a people oriented one and stay together.

Yorubas and igbos can never stay together. Here is no way anyone can twist the constitution to suit the peaceful coexistence of the two regions.
We don't share anything in common. We don't even share boundaries sef.

Everyone have been asking them to leave but they won't just leave.. you'll start hearing things like they are Nigerians and can live anywhere.. but your papa dey claim biafra just now, what changed??

If you study this Nigeria well, you'll know the Igbos are the ones really benefitting from the unity of Nigeria, they just enter any market and start selling anything, competing with the locals in the place.
Just imagine taking such privilege away from them, won't they perish?.. what is the population of their 5 South East states, what is their spending power there?
Do you think they will survive without Nigeria? I honestly don't think so.

They won't survive, they would all die of hunger and poverty.
Give them referendum first.

Awolowo caused it. Awolowo begged Gowon, Olusegun Obasanjo, Murtala Muhammed, and Benjamin Adekunke not to wipe out all living things in that region. If not, we would have been reading about that region and the tribe like the Garden of Eden.

Is this how war is really fought.
1. If that happened Biafrans would have retaliated and started killing and wiping out Nigeria villages.

2. Most of the countries that supported Nigeria would have backed out .

3. Biafra would have gotten the much needed support to resist genocide.
4. There is nothing much Nigeria military could do beside using starvation.

If the war breaks out again and civilian populations are wiped out Biafra would just concentrate of concentrated cities like Lagos , Ibadan , Kano and we will see who is more vicious

When you guys does not own a foot size of the lands in the south east. Don't worry we would get there. We have had states house of rep seat in Lagos. The next will be deputy governor and then governor. We shall get there

Biafra would have not only over run Nigeria but West Africa if soviet Union, Britain had not intervened.

Which person in his right frame of mind will want to own a land or property in the east?

Is that region actually meant for sane humans to inhabit?

Even your governors usually come to South west to buy house after looting your states for 4/8 yrs.
You make me laugh at the bolded grin, you obviously don't know what we are cooking for you guys in the south west grin.
When we start dishing you guys the meal, you will understand the taste.

You can only buy houses on papers and on nairaland. But only a handful of you really have houses in the south west while the majority of you are poor struggling tenants.

This is a fact we all know.

You that you are talking, how many houses have you bought in South west?
How many of your immediate and extended families have houses in South west?
The answer is none!

But you can come here and brag that you own all the houses and luxury hotels in Paris and Washington.
Nonsense.
Same way many of you claim that all igbos are millionaires grin

If you are not talking proper dissolution and succession of the Ibos, you are just opening your mouth for flies 🪰 to enter.

If the Ibos must leave, they must have their own country established just the Isrealis did in 1948. Asking them to just go while Nigeria continues to preside over them won't work.

Stop being a daft tribal jingoist, I bet you are not really as 'tough' physically, as you present your miserable self online. grin

You should change whatever you smoke before trying on Nairaland.

1. IIGB0S are not the ATM. They are the parasites of the country.

2. Buhari never murdered any Igbo neither did he run any junta.

3. IIGB0S claim they want to leave the country yet are not making any moves to go back to their region. On the contrary, they keep trooping out enmass 59 other regions.

Not surprised such a daft ‘argument’ is coming from a vile bigot like you! The surprise would be if you actually managed to make a post that made sense! When replying state the ethnicity unfortunate enough to have spat you out!

Dude, from the 60s to date, Nigeria has taken much more from Ndigbo in terms of resources than Ndigbo have gotten from ‘one Nigeria’….and i’m talking of coveting resources running into tens if not hundreds of billions of dollars! I’m yet to hear where you’re from, but i’d wager my LGA, ONELGA in Rivers state, has contributed much more to Nigerias coffers than your state has done in its entire lifetime! ONELGA is one of the highest hydrocarbon-producing LGs (if not the highest) in the entire country! And we’ve not even talked of other hydrocarbon-producing areas of Alaigbo who, despite your evil machinations and scheming to try and reduce their production output by under-exploiting and removing the high-yielding parts to place in Rivers state, are still managing to register respectable numbers in production levels! You lot are so eminently evil and envious that you went to the extent of dividing an ENTIRE community into two (Egbema) and placing the part with more proven reserves in Rivers state just so Ndigbo will not benefit to the full extent existing derivation laws permit them to! I’m under no illusions that the primary architects of this wickedness and injustice are from two major ethnicities that have had hegemonic control over Nigeria from 1966 to date! Does anyone think even for a second that had the Fulani or Yoruba been occupying the portion of land Ndigbo occupy today, that all those areas sliced off and placed in Rivers state wouldn’t have been in a state or region they have control over!? Not only would they have ensured what God blessed them with was kept under their control, but i can tell you for free that Fulani or Yoruba territory would have extended to the Atlantic Ocean and the Ijawnisation of city-states in the region and denials seen by the likes of the Ikwerre wouldn’t have existed! Heck, they might even have taken parts of Akwa-Ibom and Delta states to place in their region too!

Buhari borrowed tens of billions of dollars during his disastrous 8 years rule! Now can you point to anywhere in Alaigbo where some of those billions of dollars were invested!? A lot of it was wasted and stolen, but even at that i can still point to a number of projects and federal initiatives that were done in the south-west and muslim core-north during the period in question. Yet you have the temerity to call Ndigbo the ‘parasites’ of Nigeria!?

Buhari is a bloodthirsty murderous scoundrel and he didn’t start today! The scumbag has the blood of thousands of innocent Igbo dripping off his scrawny hands….and we can go back to as far as 1966, when he took part in the counter-coup that saw soldiers of northern (mostly muslim) extraction hunt down hundreds of Igbo soldiers to slaughter in cold-blood! The IPOB agitation for secession had been peaceful and devoid of bloodshed until Buhari came into the picture! They were largely ignored by GEJ and Yar’Adua before him, but the darkness in Buharis’ evil heart, his hatred for Ndigbo and his belief Ndigbo are ‘conquered slaves’ who need to be put in their place, meant he couldn’t toe the same line as his two immediate predecessors! And so we’re where we are today! Buhari and his useless party APC are amongst the worst things ever to happen to Nigeria, and he will answer to all his misdeeds…if not on earth, then when he meets his maker!

Ndigbo are a forgiving people and are prepared to give one who has wronged them the benefit of the doubt once they can see some remorse and change of attitude! This accounts for why you hardly see Ndigbo go hard on the likes of OBJ and TY Danjuma despite their roles in the civil war and events leading up to it!

Dude, asking Ndigbo to leave other parts of Nigeria and go back to their region without first getting guarantees that they’re going back to what would be a independent country of their own….you making this daft argument is just deceitful, diversionary and playing for time! Hope you remember how you reacted last time Ndigbo relocated back to their region en-masse!?
