I will rather say there are some spiritual works you can do as a Christian that does not actually go against the will of GOD and the result you get is more effective than just a prayer.

When the people of Israel were in Egypt, they cried (prayed) to God and He answered their prayer. Solomon deviated from God and took to the satanic practices of his many foreign wives.

Lord Jesus told us that the only way we can overcome the forces of darkness here on earth and in the spiritual realm is only through faith in Him and to live a life devoid of sin.
