Lagos Ibadan Rail way generated 5 billion in 2022, how much revenue are your airports generating in the East annually, that's what i want to know ?

Lagos airport generated 24 billion in 6 months.

Revenue figures of south east airports should be released for all your chest beating to be sensible.

Only 4 airports are economically viable in Nigeria, the report was released this year. Your Anambra airport was among the unviable one.

These airports include Murtala Muhammed Airport in Lagos (which generates about 50% of the entire revenue), Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport in Abuja, Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport (MAKIA), and Port-Harcourt International Airport.

Please fellow Nairalanders I apologise

It s unfortunate that some Igbos are still loud , myopic , delusional and focused on non essential topics

And Yes I am Igbo and I have lived in all regions in Nigeria

What the Noise about ??

There are wealthy people in each geopolitical zone and many of them don't make noise

Enter Just Dangote Refinery' and You would shut your mouth. This is just one of many assets of Aliko Dangote . Even 1% share of it is worth billions of naira. We once lived next once to a Yoruba multimillionaire maybe a billionaire now and no noise.

Some of you opening useless threads boasting of your perceived igbo superiority in my opinion did not start getting exposed at an early age. There are rich people in each zone. How many people knew David or Dbanjs parents until they entered music

South Africans bought 500 thousand new cars last year. Morocco and Egypt bought a hundred thousand+ new cars last year, Nigeria bought just 10000 new cars last year which are mainly government bought

Nigerian citizens have poor purchasing power even in Africa and You are busy measuring egos against other Nigerian tribes. Please have sense Nwanne

There are a lot of Indians, Pakistani, Lebanese , Chinese and Nigerians making money in Nigeria and nobody hears their voice

Dude, get lost! Direct your useless advice at those animals that invaded the thread out of sheer envy and hate just because Ndigbo are pleased their kinsfolk are coming home for Christmas and that CAIA is recording high passenger traffic numbers! Why yap about monopolistic and gov’t-enabled Dangote and ignore embittered trolls crawling all over this thread if indeed you truly are Igbo and not a impostor or self-hating efulefu!

Yuletide Celebration: Ndi Anambra In Diaspora Troop Into State Despite High Cost of Flight Tickets

Chinua Achebe International Airport, Umueri was a beehive of activities today as Ndα»‹ Anambra in the diaspora and other travelers are trooping into the state in to celebrate the 2023 Christmas festivities.

This surge is despite the economic hardship in the country and the high cost of flight tickets.

Some of the passengers who boarded Air Peace flight from Abuja, Mr. Banjo Olagoke and Mrs Monic Odimegwu in separate interviews with the ABS, attributed the hike in cost of flight to surge of travelers but described their journey as exciting, smooth and without turbulence.

They expressed joy that they are finally home to celebrate the Christmas.

The Managing Director of Chinua Achebe International Cargo Airport, Mr Martin's Nwafor said that the Airport which is just two years has been progressing and getting stronger with several changes and huge support from Anambra State Government.

Mr. Nwafor revealed that United Nigeria Airway introduced the a320 aeroplane to its Anambra route and has came in for the fifth time today while AirPeace introduced another big aeroplane 192 and has increased its frequency too.

Honestly It's village champion mentality and lack of exposure that is worrying You. You didn't start getting exposed at a young age

You are very delusional and unenlightened. Your lack of exposure, backwardness, poor education and mental retardation shines through from your comments

You are just creating more bad blood and animosity which is not necessary ]with all this foolish threads about your delusional views about your perceived igbo superiority.

You ever think maybe they didn't just see the needs for more airport in the East.

The east is the smallest region in Nigeria, how long is it even going to take to travel around a region that's just as big as Oyo state ? It is just like Oyo state having more than 2 airports, when one is not even generating any revenue.

One or two airports should be more than
enough for the East unless the available one are overcrowded and there's a possibility of generating more revenues with additional one. When there's not even a possibility of generating more revenue, it is not necessary, but the north is very big especially Adamawa which is one of the largest states in Nigeria and traveling by roads can take more times so an airport can be build for just the utility even if it is not going to generate much.

Adamawa is one of the largest states in Nigeria bigger than the whole East and even Oyo state, it didn't have a single Airport until that one was built in Yola but the East have at least 3 airports they can access.

The East is the smallest and most entitle region in Nigeria, marginalization is just in your head.

You a complete empty brain. Is it landmass that uses airport or human beings with money to pay?

5 billion was total money realised not profit. Over 15 billion was spent on diesel alone at government expense. The route is unviable, the people are poor and can't afford high fares, they are being subdised from government coffers. This was exactly how you collapsed Nigeria Air before Igbos took over airline business from government

This is all because the East is a very small region.

How much is the east using to fair better than the west when it come to insecurity ?

Let’s say the crime stats of the West including Oyo state that's is as big as the East is at 100, the East total figure is at 90.

If they mention the figure by states it will give you an illusion that the East is better but when you consider the geographical area, Insecurity is going to be more obvious and widespread in the East.

But when you brag about some rubbish data like IGR do you consider landmass?

PureFace1:

You are deviating and letting your insecurity to rear itself out.

I didn't say Lagos is bigger than the East.

Landmass is also relevant to what i'm saying. It's going to take more time to drive to the Airport in bigger region than smaller region.

People in Adamawa are going to spend a lot of time to get to the nearest airport unlike the people in the East, the government can build the airport in Adamawa to make the lives of those that use Airport in Adamawa to be easier. The East already have like 3 Airport already people there don't need to spend a lot of time to get to the nearest Airport like Adamawa that's very big without a single Airport.

Do you have sense at all? Don't worry Otti will build another airport in his second tenure. Stay there and be reasoning quota system in this competitive era. Thank God FG has empowered the states to do a lot of things

Good to know this airport was named after that great literary bulldozer.

Also, I'm pleasantly surprised to learn that we might have indigenous Yorubas in Anambra.

Those who can't afford beer say that it is bitter. Do you honestly think that South East is not doing well in terms of economic viability? Or, you just want to destroy something because you envy it as all failures do?

In case you are ignorant, let me educate you a bit: South east is the only place in Nigeria where you have whole towns devoted to unique industries powered by local manpower from top to down. Think of Nnewi and Aba. If not for small Southeast, there would have been no indigenous automobile maker in this big country. And all these without government support and amid government oppression.

Some of you only try to see all these from the negative angles because of your dirty minds by saying that they are copying other people's products. But then, you go to China to buy products copied from the United States.

Lol why are you guys so ungrateful and lie to yourself so much?

The same guys that are enjoying FG loans and patronage??

This has finally silenced the media war concerning the ongoing sit at home and it's menace...

As you can see Igbos are trooping back to their land of origin to celebrate with their families.

They know who their enemies are and the BLF equally know the enemy of that region.

The enemies are the target and not the citizens.

Believe Nigeria media news outlets about sit at home at your own peril

Last Monday, there was no bus from Lagos going past Onitsha. These ones are running into Igboland today because tomorrow, everyone will be under the bed.

Until Igbos hunt down Simon Ekpa, the bastard destroying Igboland, you will keep living in bondage. You can keep deceiving yourself if you like.

This is unnecessary... How many of the Millions of indigenous Igbo people migrate out of the Southeast?!!!

Despite their nascent challenges, the SouthEast is trying in terms of local industry.

We should push for better leadership across this nation especially in the area of national security... This will make local industrialization grow faster.
