@blink182 The steel columns are most likely resting on structural piles sent into the ground for support.

Actually reinforced concrete has a higher fire rating than steel. The steel been used for this construction is eventually going to be covered with fireproofing material because if there is a fire, steel can begin to deform and even melt at very high temperatures hence losing its structural integrity and that's why you see the "elevator core" in the left of the picture is built using all round concrete and not steel for safety reasons.

Also @blink182 those 3 concrete structures you see going up are either "elevator core" or "fire stairs". The elevators core is usually all concrete and in really huge buildings they can go up to 2+ feet thick. The fire stairs are also all concrete for safety reasons as well because steel might lose its integrity at very high temps as stated earlier.

Things have been moving along without any time to break for updates. We have been focussing on the two story portion of the project and at this time have completed the brick exterior. We are now installing the curtain wall frames. This is a picture of completed brick facade.

This is a picture of the installed curtainwall frames on the lower floor. The glass will be insertend in about a months time.

;DThe ten story building is also making progress.

You vcan see that the building is now taking shape. the metal decks are following closely behind, and we will soon be pouring consrete slabs on the decks.

Never mind about the request, i now have a sure way of getting here.

OK. So it's been about three weeks since my last post.The Ground floor slab of the 10 storey has been poured, and interior wall framing has began. Overhead Mechanical ducts are in progress.

You will also notice that we have sprayed the fireproofing on the ground floor.

Structural steel installation is up to the 8th floor now. i told you it would go up pretty fast.

Overhead mechanical and electrical are in progress. At this time, the 2nd and 3rd floor slabs have also been poured.
