Why building narrow gauge in this age ? This is nonsense.

Enugu to Aba to PH standard guage is good to go. Anything apart from that, is rubbish.

Have you ever heard of vandalization of rail tracks? Or ain't you aware of the hostage taking that occured on Kaduna- Abuja rails? Once they vandalize the tail track the train πŸšƒ will derail, hence giving them the opportunity to carry out whatever operation they wan to

Stop wailing! Railways are critical infrastructure for national development and boosting the economy. It has nothing to do with companies closing shops!

"Eastern Narrow-Gauge Railway project."

China, why are you still laying narrow gauge railway track in the 21st century?

Why are you agreeing to take part in the fraud of laying standard gauge railway track in Northwest and SW regions of Nigeria that contribute less than the SS and the SE to the coffers of Nigeria; but lay narrow gauge railway track in the SS and SE that contribute the major bulk of Nigeria's income?

Wasting funds.
It's like the Buharis who bring the Chinese told the Chinese people that Nigeria is not one country; and that before long, the Sharia states shall leave Nigeria while Oduduwa Republic shall come to be.

If not, how could the Buharis think of having two different rail gauges in one country?

As the name suggests, the narrow-gauge railway is essentially distinguished by a smaller gauge width of just 750 mm. This gives it a number of advantages over railways with normal gauges (1435 mm). The narrower gauge enables tighter curves to be taken, especially in valleys and in generally difficult terrain.

Story teller. Why didn't you build narrow gauge in the NW and SW regions?
Trains are meant to run long distances from one part of a country to the country's other extreme side and even beyond the country.
Can a train meant to run on standard gauge run on the narrow gauge? Or is the government of APC already dividing the country?

Story teller. Why didn't you build narrow gauge in the NW and SW regions?

In March 2021, former President Muhammed Buhari flagged off the $3.2 billion Port Harcourt to Maiduguri narrow gauge railway reconstruction project.

Rotimi Amaechi, the former minister of transportation, said the Port Harcourt to Maiduguri rail line would connect Rivers, Abia, Imo, Enugu, Ebonyi, Anambra, Benue, Nasarawa, Plateau, Kaduna, Bauchi, Gombe, Yobe and Borno states by rail.
