I won't say N200k is a pipedream by the NLC but my issue is if this government agrees to even N50k-N100k, they'll find a way to make sure it's not a living wage by increasing price of fuel, electricity, etc

I foresee inflation making nonsense the expected gains from this wage increase. The monies that would be chasing fewer goods and services would be monumental.

But a bag of rice is already ₦60k for a ₦35k minimum wage, so if a bag of rice is ₦100k for a ₦200k minimum wage, that's actually a win for the workers.

Why are we talking about government anyways?

The NLC should make sure that all private businesses are adhering to the minimum wage requirement first.

Every body who works in a market, every market apprentice must be paid minimum wage, same as everybody who works in a store.

Why is the NLC not working on enforcing that instead of talking about government workers

What is the solution? Your own 40k increment will lead to inflation but politicians stealing billions does not cause inflation and does not need stopping.
