All these random refineries...
When or if they start operation....and fuel price is reduced, will landlords reduce house rents...
Cosit skyrocketed after the fuel and dollar increase
Landlord should be the least of your problem, what happens to building your own house, let’s solve the problem one step at a time. If more refinery means cheaper petrol then let’s do it.

Let's hope that Tinubu removes subsidy completely by then, so that the refinery can make a profit in the trillions.

Good job from Abia.

but has subsidy not been completely removed from kerosene and diesel? is there no profit to be made from these two products?

But Tinubu is a capitalist, so as lagosians.
You can see how otedola and alakija and funke akindele etc are successful business minded lagos natives. Those three mention are from the ijebu dominant part of lagos and ijebu are known to business oriented.
Many more lagosians, only to name a few. Southwest is a capitalist region that believes in multiple taxation
Tinubu is a socialist like AWOLOWO they believe in state own enterprise stop saying what you don't know

The names you called are government backed they are just front

Government has no business in business

If Abia needs a module refinery there are more than 50 abians that can build one and run it profitably

If you don't understand my point ask for an explanation

Eyimba city is people driven, focus on creating the frame work

Didn't ask him to build the factory

Are you going to force the 50 abians that are not interested in building a refinery to do so.

I don’t think you have foresight. Let them build the refinery first, if they think later that it is better run by individuals, they can privatize it. Government refining of petrol is better to give critical state infrastructure non profit aimed PMS

Asking rhetorical questions does not make you wise. It also shows that you have no opinion on the topics being discussed. I am yet to know what you think about anything...because all you do is ask questions.

And no, I am not answering any of your questions, because you are behaving like a snotty teenager who thinks he has discovered how to look down on people...by asking them questions until they get angry and upset, while he looks calm and cool

You can chalk this up as a 'victory', but it is sad that I don't know what your opinion on anything is. And I am sure you have some good ideas, but your tactic of asking questions and then declaring every answer wrong prevents us from seeing your ideas.

Good afternoon.

What's the importance of a modular refinery in Abia

Do we lack petroleum product supply?

Would it make petroleum products cheaper?

Why Nigeria is on retrogression like this?
Countries are talking of Ecofriendly energy (Green Energy), my country is dipping itself to fossil fuel energy. Edo Modular Refinery, Imo State Modular Refinery next is Abia State Modular Refinery.

Make oyibo dey deceive you with fake green energy vibe while they run their economy with dirt cheap energy. After developing their economy with cheap fossil fuel they now turn to a developing nation like 9ja n expect you to go green which is damn expensive.

Abia state have absolutely no business building a modular refinery honestly... This is a complete waste of money, the refinery can't mathematically breakeven not to talk about making profit

Expand the Aba gas pipeline network to the eyimba economic city, expand same to uturu, umuahia, Ohafia and arochukwu

Dredge the artificial Aba river expand it to umuahia providing alternative travel route for the people

And cheaper means to transport goods to umuahia and port Harcourt

Open up more specific industal layout with gas pipeline and good road infrastructure

Please stop this AWOLOWO like feel good project... Igbos are capitalists we don't do that rubbish

If we need our refinery provide loans for our brothers to build one

Government have no business in business
enemy of progress every where

It is better to build functional project first under the right hands then hand it over to reputable individuals later. The loan you seek to give individuals to build it isn’t it more risky that way?

Yeah, saw it announced on the news yesterday. If oil producing states were proactive, had vision and were not sabotaged by a federal gov't that may unjustifiably feel threatened, then all of them should have at least one modular refinery and oil producing coy! I think one of the problems preventing this from happening is that the federal gov't doesn't want some states to produce more than the regulatory agencies claim they can produce!

Akwa Ibom should have one too,...

Energy security is a very important factor in economic development which nigeria is yet to attend and the fact that it is going to serve the people of abia first.
With the removal of subsidy, abians might have the advantage of a cheaper pump price because of proximity of the crude n distribution of d final product.

So you have assessed the project to say that it is not viable. A litter of petrol at over 600, exchange rates jacking price up yet you see a local refinery that could possibly by crude in naira and you are questioning its vitality. Ha. We are talking management not vitality please. Vitality is positive management is the only issue

It's impossible for petrol to sale for 1000 even and a refinery break even not to talk about 650

And modular refineries are characterized by efficiencies
Maybe you don't know much about the industry but I do

Well, we will not be exactly able to prove that however there’s need for more modular refineries. It will go a long way in stabilizing the naira even if it don’t result in instant profit. If you agree that it is not profitable. That’s more reason a state government should run it. It may not be profitable but it is essential. It will create jobs and more. As for capitalism. Let the people do what they can and the government do what it can.
