Something scary is happening in Northern Nigeria. Virtually every sector in the region has either collapsed or about to do so. Critical sectors like security, agriculture, industries, economy and even politics!

Advanced people often project forwards and estimate what the future could be, everything being equal. For Northern Nigeria, the outlook is very gloomy and there seem to be no way out.

The current psychological and physical attacks going on in Abuja, would be the last nail on the coffin if nothing urgent is done to save the situation. If Abuja continues in this state of gross insecurity, people will start deserting it in droves, particularly the rich and middle class. They will mostly move South to Lagos, Enugu, P.H, Ibadan or simply migrate abroad.

Already, Tinubu has moved or is about to move two crucial departments of government out of Abuja to Lagos, namely CBN and FAAN. And others could follow too.

Not long ago, a report was made that Abuja was catching up with Lagos in many areas and the report even suggested, that Abuja would surpass Lagos in the near future. Revenue generation, real estate, and air traffic in Abuja was already competing favourably with Lagos.

However, now, Abuja is facing attacks in many areas which could reduce it to nothing just like happened to Warri and Jos!

If Abuja collapses, it would drag down the rest of Northern Nigeria.

When Warri collapsed, it was Lagos that benefitted from it. If Abuja collapses too, it's also Lagos that will benefit from it.

Tinubu has insisted that Wike will remain Abuja minister despite cries by Northerners to replace him. To make matters worse, Wike is more interested in the politics of Rivers State and how to perpetuate himself as godfather than to effectively save Abuja.

Is there a grand conspiracy? Why is the capital gradually being returned back to Lagos? Would Northern Nigeria survive, especially if Abuja eventually collapses?

You people are too greedy. Do you not consider there are over 100 tribes in Nigeria?

Mind you, I don't support how Tinubu is gradually returning the FCT to Lagos, and neither am I happy with how Abuja is being degraded.

I agree with you that Nigeria has hundreds of ethnicities but unfortunately, a particular ethnic group want to corner everything.

The yorubas should be called to order. They are setting a precedent that can divide the country. The next president will relocate all federal institutions to his state, and the next. This can even degenerate to the state level.

They should move critical government agencies to Katsina or Jigawa, to help them develop.

I'll not take northerners seriously until they hasten Nigeria's break up. Perpetrating or instigating terrorism all over the place for power or pecuniary gain is merely cutting the nose to spite the face.

If Abuja falls, then Nigeria has fallen. Forget Lagos and everything in it. The last election cycle has spoilt my taste buds. The useless MC Oluomo and BAT Lagos will NEVER again be the capital of Nigeria in any significant sense other than it currently is. Rather, Nigeria should split and everybody should go their separate ways.

Security has collapsed in Nigeria, not only in the north. You are saying agriculture has collapsed but truckloads of grains are still moving from north down south on a daily.
Unless you can be specific and state how other aspects are collapsing. Otherwise, I put it to you that you don't know what you are saying
