Again CBN Adjust Exchange Rate by coputa(m): 8:22pm On Feb 04
Amid stakeholders rejection of the #1,356.883 exchange rate to a dollar, the CBN on Saturday readjusted the exchange rate on the custom platform to #1,413.62 to one dollar.

Maritime experts says that the increase in the exchange rate means that Nigerian importers will pay more to clear their goods at the port as import duty is benchmarked against the dollar

With this increase, the import duty on goods has now triple within the seven months of Bola Tinubu government.

Tinubu greatest mistake is removing fuel subsidy when he knew that his predecessor had mortgaged nigeria oil.

It means he had about 20% to contend with, which he had equally used as payment for loan he collected from AFREXIM

That's what happens when you build the structure of your country around another mans oil resources and in the process's discourage productivity. Quota system about to collapse.

Imagine if such structure was used in families. The richest of the children drops his salary/earnings for all to share and raise their families with. The ones who were once poor but now rich will hide their wealth, refuse to admit growth in business, produce so much children and malnourish them in a bid to maintain inflow of free money from the richer siblings.
In the end, that whole extended family will lack productive hands, be poor on average but with well fed parents, and start borrowng aganinst future income of the rich sibling until they all go burst.

That's what is happening to us.

You started with Tinubu but admitted it is a structural issue exploited by Buhari.

When they are done with this trial and error method of handling economy they would do the right thing.
But for now they should get out
