The Federal Government says it has begun enforcing the ban on the importation, manufacture, distribution, sale, and use of alcoholic beverages in sachets, PET, and glass bottles of 200 ml and below.

I am not saying the banned is not good, I am saying they should have provided alternative since that two years all these ones would have disappear from the market by now.

Please try and read the news again. They all agreed that the Manufacturer will starts with 5% monthly reduction in production from January 2022.

As for the alternative the best alternative is water, which is readily available. It is only in Nigeria that alcohol is extremely cheap, which is road to unhealthy generations. Someone begging for money to eat can easily afford #50 sachet alcohol. The rate of renal failure is at an alarming rate. Alcohol should not be cheaper more than candies nor biscuit. Not an essential material for human survival.
