A Man Simply Identified As Tony allegedly beheaded his girlfriend in Kabeama community in Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.

It Was Gathered that the deceased lady identified as Maxuel Ebibraladei, and Tony had a child together.

Ebibraladei was allegedly killed by her lover around 3am on Saturday, February 3, 2024, according to neighbours who discovered her severed head at dawn.

Tony was reportedly apprehended by residents before he could escape and was handed over to the police.

It was learnt that the remains of the deceased had been deposited at the morgue of the Federal Medical Centre, Yenagoa, while the suspect had been detained at the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID)

“We don’t know what happened between the two lovers that would make him cut off the head of his girlfriend and mother of his child,” a resident told newsmen.

“The two of them were quiet and easy-going. We are at a loss as to what went wrong. The headless corpse of the lady was evacuated and deposited at the mortuary of the Federal Medical Centre, Yenagoa while the arrested boyfriend is in custody of the police in Yenagoa.”

Spokesman of the police in the state, ASP Musa Muhammed, who confirmed the incident, said the command would issue a statement on the incident.

Meanwhile, a member of the community, Ebi Akuna, alleged that the suspect is a runaway soldier and drug addict.

According to Mr. Akuna, the suspect's father is from Benin City, Edo State while his mother hails from Kabeama.

Chai, yesterday at my area, a guy died because his wife went to cheat, so he tried to confront her and started beating her up and boom the youths came and rushed the guy and before our eyes he died.
