Nigerian Nollywood comic actor and producer John Okafor popularly called Mr. Ibu is gushing over his dream wife. The actor was previously married before the marriage crash then he got married to this wonderful lady according to him who has helped to transform his live. If you should ask a Nigerian about celebrity marriages he or she will simply say it is a coming together of two individuals to gain headline in blogs and new outlet then the end product is divorce. Well that definition has been wrong in some cases as most celebrities have been able to put their shits together. The actor who is also a producer is married to his beautiful longtime partner and wife, Stella Marris. He is known for his public display of affection for her. Mr. Ibu recently revealed his love life with his wife and it it’s amazing what he has to say concerning his woman. I call her, my first class. I don’t have anything to do with any woman out there that can be compared to my wife. I have the best wife in the whole world. You can quote me. This is because when you have a wife that has the key to your heart, a woman that is in charge of your memory card, what are you looking for again? She’s a rare breed in the species of womenfolk. Sometimes, I say to God that ‘you saw my tribulations and you decided to bless me with this woman’. I was married before I met her but the marriage did not work out. But here I am today, living like somebody who is already in heaven. My wife’s name is Stella Marries Chinyere Okafor. Anywhere you meet her, call her, Chibest or First Class. I want t God, thank you for giving me the love of my life.’ I have practically experienced true love. But I’m not going to die any time soon. She has the mechanism to build new things in me." He said. Only a man that is so much in love and is living in a happy home will always be heaping praises on his partner. http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/03/mr-ibu-my-wife-is-best-compared-to.html

Prof ABC Nwosu, former political adviser to President Olusegun Obasanjo has clarified the position of Ndigbo as 2019 general elections draw near. He said Ndigbo are more favorably disposed towards political restructuring of Nigeria than Igbo presidency. He stated this while fielding questions from Vanguard newspapers. Asked as a prominent Igbo politician where Ndigbo stand on APC, PDP, “ Third Force “ or Igbo presidency, he said Ndigbo was both troubled about what Nigeria had become and their status in Nigeria. In his words: Ndigbo are not only troubled by what Nigeria has become but also by what they have become in the diminished country they had very high hopes for at Independence. Consequently, forces more than third, fourth and fifth forces are currently operating in the south east. Everyone outside Igboland sees only the neo-Biafra forces but the forces for restructuring of Nigeria are more potent and cut across all segments. In my view, Ndigbo are more interested in political restructuring of Nigeria than in Igbo presidency. As the time for 2019 election approaches, these forces and tendencies in Igboland will begin to be resolved in a manner that will permit prediction as to what Ndigbo will do in the 2019 general elections. http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/03/igbos-more-concern-on-our-status-in.html

Nigeria cannot collapse whether President Muhammadu Buhari wins a second term or not, former President Olusegun Obasanjo has explained. Rebuffing reports attributed to him that Nigeria will collapse if Buhari wins a second term, Obasanjo said after surviving the civil war and the bestial inclinations of the Sani Abacha military regime, nothing worse could happen to the country. Obasanjo, the first President of the Fourth Republic, spoke in an exclusive interview with the online newspaper, Premium Times, from Azerbaijan where he is chairing a meeting of InterAction Council of Former Heads of State and Government. Obasanjo Earlier reports had quoted him as saying in a speech reportedly delivered at Blavatnik School of Government, Oxford University, last Friday that Nigeria would collapse if Buhari wins a second term. Obasanjo, who denied visiting London since January, said: “I won’t and can’t say that (that Nigeria will collapse if Buhari is re-elected). There will be nothing that will make Nigeria collapse. When Nigeria did not collapse under a civil war, it won’t collapse now. “My faith and conviction about Nigeria is so strong that I don’t see the country either being dismembered or collapsing. “The worst has passed on Nigeria. Once we were able to survive the civil war, once we were able to survive (Sani) Abacha, nothing can be worst than those two. And our democracy is waxing strong. Although there are a few things we need to get right. “As far as I am concerned, the worst is over. What remains is for all of us and for our leadership to show good faith and commitment to do what is right. Then Nigeria will grow from strength to strength.” President Obasanjo, who recently accused Buhari’s administration of corruption, incompetence and maladministration affirmed that even those issues were not enough to wreck the country. He said: “I regard those as aberrations and they will pass away. Such aberrations will pass away with the regime that bring them. “Don’t forget that Abacha did more than that. Of course Abacha’s regime was not a democracy, it was a military dictatorship. If we survived that, then we will survive any shenanigan against democracy. That’s the greatest advantage of democracy.” Obasanjo had recently called on Buhari not to seek a second term on the basis of poor performance, clannishness, corruption among other reasons and called on him to “dismount from the horse” to join the league of the country’s former leaders whose “experience, influence, wisdom and outreach can be deployed on the side line for the good of the country.” http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/03/why-nigeria-cant-collapse-obasanjo.html

Paul Gambit, a renown music video director has come out to set the record straight regarding the controversy involving a dark skinned model and singer Tekno. The model, Quinbeee, had in an Instagram post accused the Pana singer of discriminating against her due to the colour of her skin instead choosing to go with a lighter skinned girl for his music video. This led to a lot of backlash as many called out Tekno for this supposed discriminatory behaviour. Tekno did not offer a response or an explanation. However, Paul Gambit has. In an interview Sunday Scoop, said that her skin colour was not the issue but that the model had just wanted a stick with which to beat Tekno with. He said; “They say customers are always right. I cast someone for a role but the executive producer said she didn’t fit in with what he wanted for the project. He said he would have preferred her in another project. Do you expect me to start arguing with my client? I am the director, not the client who will pay for the job. I understand how she felt and we tried to talk about it.” Speaking on how models get rejected all the time and never complain as they understand that it’s just part of the job, he said; “I think it was her first experience because video vixens get rejected regularly but they don’t call out the artistes involved. Tekno and I have kept quiet about it, but to be honest with you, it was never about the clour of her skin. I was sad about the statement because I didn’t understand why she would go to that extent. As a man, don’t you have what you like in a girl? If you prefer slim ladies, does that mean fat ladies are bad? For almost four hours, we didn’t shoot because we were looking for someone who would fit what Tekno wanted,” He added that Tekno didn’t apologise or beg her; “If you are a top artiste like Tekno, would you apologise when the lady didn’t give you audience. It is easier for people to say Tekno did something wrong until you put yourself in his situation. When we sent her details to Tekno, he was not totally sure about using her. He said he would conclude on the day of the shoot; so, it was not 100 per cent certain that she would play the lead role. She just wanted to make everyone feel that it was about her colour. The simple truth is that her beauty was not the type Tekno was looking for; it doesn’t mean he didn’t see any beauty in her. Tekno had his preference for the shoot. I am sure the girl cannot date all the guys that come her way. She will have her taste as well.” http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/03/reveals-why-tekno-dropped-dark-skin.html

Of course, we are not convinced about the efforts to bring them back since we’ve not seen anything.” Similarly, Zara Adamu, one of the parents, said only the safe return of her daughter could convince her. “Baba Buhari has spoken. I don’t know what they are doing to bring our daughters back, but he said they are doing something. I will be convinced when I see my daughter back alive,” she said. Mother of one of the girls, Harira Damagun also said, “Only Allah cannot fail, not human being,we have taken the incident as an act of God. “We see it as an act of God. President Muhammadu Buhari has sacked Paul Boroh, coordinator of the presidential amnesty programme for former Niger Delta militants. Femi Adesina, spokesman of the president, announced this in a statement issued on Tuesday afternoon. Adesina said Charles Dokubo, a professor, has been appointed to replace Boroh. “Prof Dokubo is currently director of research and studies at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs. He holds a PhD in strategic studies from the University of Bradford, United Kingdom, and hails from Abonema, Akuku-Toru local government of Rivers state,” the statement read. The statement said Babagana Monguno, national security adviser, has been directed to probe the activities of the amnesty office since 2015 when Boroh was appointed. “Meanwhile, the president directs the national security adviser (NSA) to carry out a full investigation into the activities of the Amnesty Programme from 2015 to date, especially allegations of financial impropriety and other acts that are allegedly detrimental to the objectives of the Presidential Amnesty Programme,” the statement read. Boroh, a retired brigadier general, was appointed on July 28, 2015. Allegations of financial misappropriation were levelled against Boroh but he denied any wrongdoing. In January, he denied rumors of his sack. “This story about my suspension and even sack has been off and on in the media but the truth is that I have not been sacked and no one should disrupt the relative prevailing peace in the Niger Delta region with such fake news,” he had said. “What is happening is the handiwork of political enemies and those who do not want the region to be peaceful. “The rumour they are peddling is just rubbish and unfounded. “ Under my watch, the programme, candid speaking, has helped greatly to stabilise the region.” Professor Charles Quaker Dokubo has authored and edited various scholarly books and journal articles amongst which are: Nigeria’s Security Interest in Africa, Nuclear Proliferation and the Probability of Nuclear War: the effectiveness of the Nuclear Non- Proliferation Regime. His latest publication is the Defence Policy of Nigeria: Capability and Contest by Authorhouse Publishers. He is also currently the Ag. Mr. Umukoro Akpobaro, the husband of late bank worker, Peace, who allegedly committed suicide at their home at Iwhrekpokpor, Ughelli, Delta State, has denied having a hand in her death. This is just as the deceased’s family accused Umukoro of masterminding the death of their daughter, saying he had always threatened to kill her. The 32-year-old mother of two was reported to have died after allegedly taking insecticide when she returned home from work. “But Umukoro, who spoke to our correspondent on the telephone, said the allegations against him were unfounded, adding that he was in good terms with the deceased before she died.” Punch reports He said the late Peace had complained of some debts she incurred after “overposting” funds to some customers. “One happened in January and the amount was about N100,000. She called me and asked for my help and I sent N50,000 to her. I told her that I would send the balance when another one happened in February. She complained that she was getting tired of the debts,” he added. Umukoro, a journalist with a broadcast station, claimed that his wife sent him a message on a social media application, Whatsapp, asking him to take care of their children, a few hours to her death. Umukoro screen grabbed his chat with wife and sent it to PUNCH: Peace (11: 27am): Migwo, can I get a loan from you or anywhere? To pay N20,000 back monthly; I need N100,000. Umukoro (12:08am- 12:21pm): Verendo, what happened? Peace (12:43pm-2:21pm): Nothing. I need the money to clear my debts. I’ll pay back please, every 24th. I don’t have anyone to ask. Please assist me. I don’t have peace. I’m just managing to keep myself together. You didn’t answer me? The problems I’m facing are too much. Please take note. I didn’t commit adultery. Ancestors didn’t kill me. I’m tired of life. Challenges of life won me. Hence I’m killing myself. Please give me a befitting burial. The gate and door are open. I died as your wife. Bury me well and take care of my kids. Bye. Umukoro (3:24pm): What is your problem? Umukoro said he went online one hour after his late wife sent her last message, adding that he became alarmed and called her telephone number, which rang out. He said he immediately called neighbours who discovered that she had taken Sniper and rushed her to a hospital, adding that she died on the way. The journalist sent a voice note of a conversation he had with Peace and their children a day to the incident in which they spoke cheerfully. “That was how we always talked in the evening when she returned from work. I spoke with her and the children. The claim that I called her on the day she died and asked her to come home is not true. Her phone is with the police and we are asking them to check her call records in the last 30 days,” he added. But the family on Monday, said they believed that the husband was responsible for the death of the first class graduate of Accounting of the Delta State University Abraka. An elder brother of the deceased, Maxwell Johnmark, alleged that Umukoro had once threatened to kill Peace. He added that the two children left behind by the deceased were witnesses. http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/03/suicide-husband-of-late-banker-refutes.html

Security operatives attached to the Niger State Governor, Sani Bello, on Thursday, allegedly opened fire on angry youths chanting ‘Sau Daya’ (one-tenure) for the governor. Footage of the incident emerged on Friday. Bello had visited Bidda old market, popularly known as Etsu-Musa market in the state where fire gutted over 600 shops. During his visit, he donated N20million for the reconstruction of the market. However, as he made his way out, angry youths stoned his convoy in protest of what they described as the terrible situation of things in Niger. As the protesters charged closer towards Bello’s convoy, they chanted and individually raised one finger, to make it clear to the governor that he should forget a second term. Apparently to control a situation that was getting out of control, security operatives escorting the motorcade opened fire on the youths. The young indigenes, in their hundreds, immediately took to their heels, scampering for safety in different directions. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j-MdTpNApwI However, no casualty was recorded. Reacting, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Jibrin Ndace, confirmed the stoning but said he was not sure whether it was directed at the governor because he was not alone in the convoy. He told Daily Nigerian that, “The Governor was accompanied by a federal lawmaker, Senator Mustapha Sani; Speaker, Niger State House of Assembly, Ahmed Marafa; Chief of Staff, Mikail Al-Amin Bmitosahi; Head of Service, Sule Yabagi, Commissioners, Special Advisers, Director Generals, women leaders, APC stakeholders and other government officials. “After visiting the market, the governor was at Etsun Nupe’s palace where he announced the donation of N20 million to the victims of the fire outbreak that engulfed the Etsu Musa Market in Bida. “So, if there was threat of any nature to the governor, he would have left Bidda immediately.” http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/03/security-agents-shoot-as-youths-stone.html

The way some Nigerian will be acting can also contribute to the current economy crisis befalling the country with the lack of passion for something meaningful. One Nigerian lady named Moyo Adeola on instagram has taken the chance to pour out her inner most desire for Nigerian rapper Olamide. Adeola who is very desperate on this act has revealed that she can do anything to bed him as far as her dream is actualized. When she was blasted by some Olamide’s fan she said that she will do even go down with anybody that she is not afraid or scare of bedding any man. If she can only channel this passion an emotion into something realistic and meaningful I think she will be one of the greatest women in Nigeria. She can be easily categorized among the slay queens that are parading our society now who are only after famous and rich men to suck out their wealth in other to live a flashy lifestyle. This desperation can lead to her even doing charms or any killing somebody to fulfill her desire. What are Nigerian youths turning into could this one be blamed on failed political system of the country or poor home training from her parent, or is just a way for her to trend. http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/03/desperate-female-fan-has-word-for.html

The United Nations Organisation on Friday began the evacuation of aid workers from Rann community in the Kala-Balge Local Government Area of Borno State, following a heavy Boko Haram terrorists’ attack which left three UN workers dead. It was learnt that the Boko Haram insurgents late on Thursday attacked the Rann Internally Displaced Persons camp, during which the UN workers were killed. Two of the deceased workers were with UN agency; International Organisation for Migration, while the third victim was a doctor, working with the UN Children’s Fund. A female UN nurse was also reported to have been abducted by the insurgents. Saturday PUNCH learnt that apart from the officials, a yet-to-be-ascertained number of civilians in the camp were also killed while many others were injured during the gun battle. The Boko Haram terrorists reportedly abducted three aid workers and civilians apart from the UN nurse. Two of the abducted workers are reportedly working with the International Committee of the Red Cross – another major international relief agency in the North-East. A military source said the terrorists stormed the unit of 3 Battalion, 7 Division, located in Rann at about 6 pm on Thursday and exchanged fire with the soldiers for about five hours. Three soldiers and three mobile policemen were killed after the firefight. The source claimed that the terrorists made away with an Armoured Personnel Carrier and a military truck from the unit in Rann. The United Nations for the Office of the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in a statement on Friday by its spokesperson, Samantha Newport, confirmed the death of its three workers, noting that three other workers were injured by the insurgents. The UN said, “The Humanitarian Coordinator in Nigeria, Edward Kallon, has condemned the killing of three aid workers in Rann town, Borno State, northeast Nigeria on Thursday night following an attack by a non-state armed group on the military facilities next to the town. “Three aid workers were also injured in the attack, and a female nurse is missing and feared abducted. Two deceased aid workers were contractors with the International Organisation for Migration, working as coordinators in the camp for 55,000 internally displaced persons, who have fled their homes as a result of the ongoing conflict. “The other deceased aid worker was a medical doctor employed as a third party consultant with UNICEF. The United Nations is also concerned about other civilians who may have been injured or killed in the attack. “The humanitarian crisis in Nigeria’s northeast, now in its ninth year, shows no sign of abating. Close to 80,000 people, including 55,000 internally displaced persons, currently reside in Rann and are supported with humanitarian assistance. “The United Nations and non-governmental humanitarian organisations are working across the north-east of Nigeria to provide aid, including food, safe water and medicine, to some 6.1 million people in need in the northeast. Some 3,000 aid workers are present in the northeast, the majority of whom are Nigerian nationals.” The Humanitarian Coordinator, Kallon, said, “Aid workers put their lives on the line every single day to provide emergency assistance to vulnerable women, children and men. Our deepest condolences go to the families of the victims and our brave colleagues and we call on authorities to ensure the perpetrators are brought to justice and account .” Speaking further with our correspondent, the UNOCHA Head of Communications, Newport, confirmed the evacuation of aid workers from Rann. She said, “It is true that they have started evacuating aid workers. It is largely because the event has been very critical and traumatic. This is what the United Nations tries to do which is to find the right balance – to keep the work going but also to protect the aid workers. “There has not been a final decision on how many people are coming out and how many people are going back in. There are certainly very important decisions to be made in the next 48 hours.” Also, the Spokesperson for the ICRC, Aleksandra Mosimann, said there were two midwives in Rann who had yet to be reached. She said, “The situation is still confusing and we are still trying to make sense of what is going on. There are two midwives that we have not heard from. We are concerned about their whereabouts and we are hoping that they will be found. When things like this happen, people are scattered.” http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/03/boko-haram-kills-3-un-workers-3.html

The Christian Association of Nigeria, (CAN) in the 19 Northern states and Abuja, has expressed sadness over the abduction of 105 girls of Government Secondary School, Dapchi, Yobe State CAN spokesman in the 19 northern states, Rev. John Joseph Hayab, told journalists in Kaduna, yesterday that the Christian body was deeply concerned about the “return of kidnappings of large number of girls again in Nigeria.” He called on the Federal Government to do what was necessary to rescue the girls as soon as possible and unhurt. Hayab said:”CAN is deeply concerned with this development. When we have not yet got back all the Chibok girls, and now another 105 school girls have been kidnapped. “And sadly, though, the Yobe State government have apologized for its first denial, but that denial made Nigerians more confused because it shows we cannot be truthful when fellow Nigerians are affected. “The government and the security agencies must situp. The girls must not stay long like the previous ones before they are released. “The girls must be brought back alive. The young girls are Nigerians. They need the protection of the Nigerian government. These girls can be anybody’s daughters. “CAN is saying that the Nigeria security agencies must not play the propaganda game anymore. They should go after the criminals that have abducted these girls. The security should take serious action and stop making noise and confusing people. “This particular abduction is a challenge to government to prove to Nigerians that the huge spending on security is not just a drain on our resources, because when we hear and read stories that billions of dollars is expended for security and we still have issues like this, then it tells us that there is a serious problem in the country.” http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/02/can-tackles-buhari-over-abduction-of.html
