I guess you were still in your mother's womb when Buhari's administration was negotiating and signing deals with Dangote.

And I guess the experts at Dangote Refinery are just sitting around and watching Telemundo.

😒 Quite funny.
you lack capacity to process information for you to know that, that is not what will solve Nigeria problem, rather it will compound it.

This has been discontinued by most banks since 2022. The PTA I got in 2022 was funded on my card and can only be used when you arrive at your destination country. CBN is just a shadow of itself because it seems the commercial banks take more proactive steps.

The status quo will remain until Nigeria stops doing the bidding of IMF and world bank. Developed economies don't mean well for Nigeria. Imagine when 1 Naira was 1 Dollar in the 70s IMF said Nigeria should devalue Naira and we have 1600 Naira to 1 Dollar in 2024 now.
But what can we do when the govt has borrowed billion of doollars from these world bodies and are bound to do their bidding.
We need a drastic change. Tinubu is worsening the situation and seems clueless with his team. All indicators and not helping the masses.
When will IMF persuade America to devalue $?
Why always Naira?

This mumu hen came back sha.

Like I said, go find folks on your wavelength to argue your kindergarten economics.

The problem with people like you is you don't know shit about how global economics works but always have an opinion. With everything Cardoso has been doing, if you still think he's trying to peg the exchange rate, you are a lost cause. You are irredeemable.

Again, you don't know shit but want to have an opinion.

dude , this is not working like your usual atm. Because you are dogmatic to a certain idea doesn’t mean that’s how every kind of operation should work . Now let take time to school you at least for the benefit of people wey still get your kind of brain . The reason Cbn is doing this is to make sure who ever bid for foreign currency gets it without the bank hoarding for them selfs at the right time . Initially people will bid and before the money gets to the bank the customer would have gone to black market to sort themselves . By this doing when the money eventually comes out the bank will hoard the money and not give to the person that requested it and they will use it to do thier own illegal business. But with this card thing the cbn is the one to be making the payment directly through a new system in the sector , off course their are other documentations with it but when u get the card , you take it to your school and they activate it the Cbn gets it and make the payment . It’s not like you will get to your school and u collect cash . There is no cash transaction at any point in the process. The wount be working majorly with commercial banks , they can use options like flypay and points like it. It’s very simple. I use flypay all the time and it reflects in seconds.

In what Country in the world do you see people selling Forex like Gala?

The Central Bank of Nigeria has banned the sale of forex directly to travelers in cash.

Electronic cards are to be used henceforth for BTA/PTA.

This was part of my intervention some days ago.

Since our elites have turned BTA/PTA into a business, let the incentive be removed.

I applaud the CBN for being bold.
If anyone is travelling, he must approach a bank to get BTA and he must be receipted. At the airport, he must present the receipt to customs and evidence of the cash. If he doesn't have the cash, he must be arrested, tried and jailed. Wicked people use travellers to buy BTA at government rates and resell to the black market. If this practice is not functional, give them pre-loaded debit cards by going into partnership with companies like Travelex and Transferwise or Revolut or Remitly and pay them directly so that beneficiaries can collect their cash when they get to the countries of destination.

Impressive.

Tell your CBN to make it availble at the bank when needed so that people will have no choice visiting the Abokis. My brother needed PTA urgently non of the bank could make it available without going long process. He has no option than to but from the Abökis in high rate. For people not to sell Forex like gala tell your government to make it available to the bank snd stop sitting and typing out of point because you don know how it feel when you needed for urgently.

Stop giving fake information. Naira has been appreciating for the past 2-3 weeks. It remained stable in last one week.
