This is what exactly happens, when witches are in support of a President! It was at the junction that witches gave him their support that we were all supposed to turn our back on Tinubu.

Frankly speaking, Tinubu goofed when he supported the removal of fuel subsidy BEFORE seeing the book keeping on SUBSIDY.

He has to turn minimum wage to at least N100,000 to stop the impending revolution from happening!

Quite unfortunate if a Yoruba man truncates our democracy.

Moment of respite .

Just hope this translates to reality on ground and not one of their several failed promises.

If the cement manufacturers can agree to such a deal, it won't be out of place to ask why they allowed the price of cement to spiral out of control in the first place without any justifiable reason?

I am beginning to suspect that Some people are seriously hell bent on sabotaging this administration.

Too many bad things happening all at the same time.
You don't need anyone to tell you that for that deal to work, government will have to pay them money (subsidy) whether in cash or by other means like lowering taxes.

You can't fix the price of what you don't own in the market unless you have something to give in return

Imagine the game these unfortunate people are playing with us.

So they intentionally increased it so that they can negotiate. The game plan of Tinubu is truly playing on.

I wonder if they think the masses are fool. Tinubu truly doesn't know what he is doing. Even he is worse than Buhari. If the government cannot control the price of cement then I wonder what they can do. So the masses should continue to suffer for the next four years and you will rule out drums and start another campaign for u to be voted in again. The problem is truly with the masses. I know this man is playing with the fire and it will consume him very soon.

Have a nice day.

Truth be told there are a lot of opportunist trying to exploit the chaos.

If not why would cement, getting free limestone (main raw material), getting free laterite

With cheap labour, not paying raw materials fee to government

Not paying to the states they are located

Not developing the states, they are situated in. OBAJANA is the largest in Africa, producing over 10 million tonnes per year !

No unionized workers, health insurance, benefits.

No community projects, with the money they make in Kogi, there should be a University built for Kogi state.

After all these freebies, they are increasing cement prices. Tinubu should set up a committees to review issuing more licenses to all monopoly business in Nigeria to prominent stakeholders and watch the price come down fast.
Any monopoly that hikes price, blame it on inadequate supply to meet the demand and go after their privileged monopoly

If this is how you reason then..it means every investor coming into Nigeria must build universities. Create unions for their workers? In private sector?..etc ..that is bullshit..

Are you aware that the there is a free training academy in Obajana..the road that connects Obajana to kabba was built by Dangote?

There are health insurances for staffs as well..

This is pure nonsense!!!

The cement price at #7000 is just too high!!!

I tell you, the fact that the agreed price is ₦7000-8000 not ₦3000 should have any sane person worried about this prospect. Many cement suppliers will still sell above this price so we are looking at cement at ₦10000-12000 before it gets to final users.

HOW NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN IBETO CEMENT OWNED BY ANAMBRA MAN SO THAT DANGOTE CEMENT OWN BY HAUSA MAN CAN DOMINATE

An Igbo Man has Just taking to social media to condemn the act of Nigerian government and how they closed down Ibeto Cement which was based in Nnewi, Anambra State, Nigeria

Read his words below

Latter To Ibeto Cement: Igbo’s Apologizes For Not Standing Up When You Were Persecuted By The Evil Nigerian Government

I don’t know you Ibeto, but I hope this message gets to you.

It’s a big shame and out of brotherhood, that our own cement producing factory in Igbo land was persecuted and pressured to the lent he was close down and folded. We all (Igbo’s) over look such brouhaha been malted on our brother, we claimed as if its not our business, but in the accurate fact, it our business, because with his cement producing factory he created not less than 50,000 jobs to the each states in Igbo land.

In as much i blame the Igbo’s, I also don’t blame them that much, because then, we were not united as we are now, we didn’t have one voice as we do today. But now everything have changed, because never again shall any Igbo business man be pulled down under the watch of this classic generation.

The Nigerian government fabricated that you were importing arms in the name of importing cement material, which even a sucking child will tell that its a pure lie, the only wanted you out of the way for Dangote to take over, chiaaaa had it been we are this united, believe you in me, your company will have been alive today, because we would have boycott all that is called cement in Nigeria, we would have boycott all that is boycotttable on your behalf.

They lied that you imported arms, but early this year, Dangote truck was captured importing drugs with his own truck too, nobody questioned him, in fact the video were later pulled out of Facebook, Injustice to the highest level.

If possible, if you can, if you are willing to, if you still have the money, start again, rebuild yourself and get back to work, this time around, you are not alone, for we shall die with them if they tries to pull you down, not only you, but any Igbo business man. business is not meant for one man, its not only meant for Dangote, it for everyone. Am not surprise that Dangote will come to attack you if raise your head again, but don’t be scared, we will boycott his cement, but this time around not only his cement, but all the items he produce. Some will say Dangote is rich and will never lack, that if we boycott him, it will not shake him, I don’t think such people knows what it will look like if we boycott him for One month, I don’t think such people understand that the main people funding his wealth is Igbo people, yes if we stand to boycott him, he is gone and gone forever.

I wish Ibeto can start that again, because we igbos are the only people building houses both in the North East, West and South and it’s very painful we allowed our own Brother to be oppressed by the Evil Nigeria government.

They closed savanna Bank because it was owned by an Igbo man, they closed ezinnachi clay factory because it was owned by an Igbo man, they also closed you Ibeto because you are an Igbo man, imposing economic blockage in Igbo land. But all this happened when we where not yet one and united, and I repeat, never again shall an Igbo man Business go down because of this evil government.

Ibeto start again, and we will die with Nigerian government if the come against you, and if Dangote stands against you, he is gone, because Igbo’s are the main source of his wealth

EJIKE OFOEGBU SAID IT

#BoycottDangoteCement

The Feud Between IBETO And Dangote

When President Obasanjo encouraged local production of cement, the Manager of Ibeto cement factory promised to flood Nigerian market with cement and drastically reduce the price of the product.

Ibeto fulfilled his promise and flooded the country with cement. The result was that the price of cement crashed. This jolted Dangote cement and affected his business adversely.

Aliko Dangote wrote a petition to former President Olusegun Obasanio kicking against the authority the federal government Ibeto granted to import 800,000 metric tons of cement.

Fomer President Olusegun Obasanjo issued a directive that Ibeto was not allowed to import cement into the country until it proved its investment in local production. Dangote was allowed to import cement.

Thousands of staff of lbeto cement were rendered jobless.

When late President Umaru Yar’ Adua succeeded Obasanjo, Ibeto, in July 2007, applied for import allocation and it was granted. Once again, he flooded the country with quality cement, and the prices crashed.

Dangote Cement PLC quickly filed a suit alleging that Ibeto Cement Company is gaining undue advantage by the federal government.

On its part, the Federal Government, contended that Dangote Cement PLC is plotting to wipe out fair competition and create a monopoly in the industry and transform itself to the only cock that crows in Nigeria.

But Ibeto further filed terms of settlement, which were entered as consent judgment in the suit.

In line with the consent judgment, it will continue to import 1.5million metric tons of cement per annum for the period between 1 October, 2007 and 30 September, 2017.

This was in line with the Federal Government guarantee conveyed a letter by the Ministry of Trade and Industry dated 5 June 2002.

By the judgment, the Federal Government was to pay Ibeto Cement Company the sum of $40 million and N1,885,813,592(N1.9billion). The amount is the verified claims by the inter-ministerial committee of the federal government for losses suffered by Ibeto from the unjustified closure of its bagging plant between December, 2005 and when it resumed operations in October, 2007.

But Dangote Cement PLC consented that its rights and interests were affected by the consent judgment.

Dangote argued that the continuance of lbeto cement makes Dangote cement expensive.

However, the Federal Government and six of its agencies, which are the other defendants in their counter-affidavit deposed to by one Emmanuel Joel, an Assistant Litigation Officer in the law firm of Kenna Partners, argued that Dangote Cement PLC filed the suit with only one intention, to wipe out competition in cement business and become a monopoly.

The Federal Government also contended that Dangote cement has no locus in filing the suit as the matter didnt concern them. It aveered that the suit instituted by Ibeto Cement against the Federal Government was not fraudulent. Furthermore, it argued that Dangote Cement was not a nominee or agent of government agencies, which are defendants in the suit, and is not acting on their behalf. It argued that that Dangote Cement Plc is not an agency of Federal Government with the statutory mandate of administering, managing or enforcing tax compliance, therefore lacking the locus standi to commence or maintain the legal action and seek the reliefs in the case.

Ibeto took cement to another level. It signed a contract agreement of

$368million with a China company Zhejiang Sinoma Engineering Design & Research Institute Co., Ltd to produce 6,000metric tons of Cement in Enugu State, south east Nigeria.

The contract covered crushing limestone mining, cement raw materials to packaging, shipped to the whole process and a 45MW captive power plant, covering engineering design, equipment, steel and material supply, civil works, installation, commissioning and personnel training.

Already, Ibeto Company operates a similar facility in Port Harcourt, River State which produces 6000tons of cement.

Dangote was afraid that his dominance and monopoly of cement production will be destroyed by lbeto.

Ibeto is a billionaire and one of the wealthiest men in Africa. As at 2013, he was estimated to be worth about $3.7 billion dollars by Ventures Africa.

His Petrochemical Industries Limited which manufactures oil lubricants and other various petroleum products both for local and international trade has the largest liquid storage facility for petroleum products in Nigeria, with a large capacity to store over 60,000 metric tons, and is located at the Apapa Warf and the Ibru Jetty Complex in Lagos, Nigeria.

President Buhari came into power.

Ibeto Company applied for foreign exchange from the CBN but was denied. Dangote applied and was granted. He has continued to enjoy all manner of waiver.

Like Dangote did during the Obasanjo regime , he was said to have approached his Fulani brother. Buhari banned lbeto cement because they are afraid of competition from a south eastern lgbo man who comes from the wrong part of the country.

They know that lbeto has the ability to overthrow Dangote as the richest man in Africa and he must be stopped by all means.

Fllowing the closure of lbeto cement by Buhari, the prices of cement jumped from N1,500 to N 2,500 and Dangote is smiling to the bank.

Ibeto’s account is frozen. Dr.Cletus lbeto has been arrested several times, questioned by security agencies, harassed, humiliated and intimidated.

There is no law in the Nigerian law books that Ibeto company has breached.

What then is his crime? Is it because he is lgbo?
