One problem with Nigeria is the depth of lawlessness

They stop on paper, but that’s when some will just start exactly what has been banned. When a law is passed in Nigeria, it becomes a new window for new set of Nigerians to start exactly what was banned to cash out

How does this help us?

You stop export to reduce price and then stop foreign exchange from coming in? Short term win long term loss?

Or what am I missing?
You export when you have fully satisfied domestic consumption. You export excess. In Nigeria, reverse is the case. The LPG gas we produce isnt enough to satisfy our demands and we are exporting thereby creating scarcity and orice inflation.
LPG production is a ceitical sector that if ome invests, you will reap bountifully. The potential isnt fully harnessed in this country.

Until I see results, this government is more of propaganda than action. I think it is better than Buhari in always been able to address issues and make comments to make us happy as citizens just that for now no results which is sad
Re: FG Stops Export Of Cooking Gas To Reduce Price by RepoMan007: 2:19pm On Feb 22
Are they planning to reduce the price per kg they sell to marketers? That's the only way they can bring about a reasonable price crash.
Re: FG Stops Export Of Cooking Gas To Reduce Price by Obinoscopy(m): 2:19pm On Feb 22
This will further decrease the little dollar we have further compounding the exchange rate crisis. Why not increase production so we can have some for local consumption?

Something is wrong somewhere,if this kind of action what will bring down the price of gas, then we should equally stop exporting crude oil. We want naira to grow and we are stopping exportation?

Very good policies, economic policies should be for the good of the people.

In UK or America, prices of basic things stay the same for years, because the government is working behind the scenes to make it happen, they have good public health financed by government, they have quality public transportation, they have good security, water etc...all these things are either done through subsidies, government partnership, government policy, welfare packages, public social services and infrastructure etc...hence it is wrong for IMF to ignore all these subsidies enjoyed by Americans and Brits and come to Nigerian government, and ask FG to remove all subsidies for the people.

Government is there because of the people, a nation is not a company, a nation is there to use public wealth, policy, and revenue to cater for the people, protect the people, provide public services, welfare services etc. It's all about the people, not the private companies, not IMF or the FG, governors etc.

That's the unfortunate state we've found ourselves.

Angelfrost:
Why contest and fight to become President when you have neither clue nor blueprint?!!

Why, for fvck sake?!

Nigeria is far too gone and old for power hungry idiots to be experimenting with just for the fun of it.

After the trial and error of Buhari which spanned 8 years, how can anyone come into that office and continue the same trial and error process?!!

That's diabolically stupid!

Most Nigerian politicians have no conscience, and most citizens have been rendered imbecilic by religion and ethnicity.

What a Catastrophe!!!

I know this is not the type of news you want to hear, but government should do more of actions than talking. We should see the reflection on ground rather sermonising it.
