They're working hard to make sure people don't invest in other currencies to avert the effect of crumbling naira

That's where they get it wrong we can still P2P

You're right. They got it very wrong. I can name at least 5 global crypto exchanges like Binance that has naira p2p. I bought and sold USDT today with naira with one of the them. No issues. They don't even have offices in Nigeria and they shouldn't if they are wise. Binance's mistake was establishing a presence in Nigeria. It gave the clueless government something to flex on.

well binance may still be a platform where people can trade and keep their crypto. We just cant convert to naira on the platform anymore. it does provide a secured platform for converting crypto to naira though

This government deserve to be giving a proper support.
It totally shows they know what they're doing.
If its another government, they will ban Nigerians from Binance entirely but they show that they are actually after fixing the loopholes.
Either you support the government or not, we know the president that would have force Binance to close all accounts of Nigerians on binance or completely bare the network.

If it was Buhari, he would assess if Fulani people use Binance and if he notices they're not many, he'll ban it entirely. No matter how terrible any Nigerian president is, Buhari will always be my worst for his max nepotism.

And our youths would come out and insult the government for fighting for our interest

😂😂 first of all, this neo-colonialist govt is never fighting for your interest. How can a govt that removed subsidy from petroleum products fight for you? What they literally did is begin to take money from you and straight into their pockets because where are the dividends of the subsidy removal? Didn't you hear SAN Falana break down how your govt is spending the derived money anyhow on Channels News?

Binance and Aboki Bureau effect on our economy is nothing compared to the effects of decades of bank laundering, corruption, backwards fiscal policies, redundancy of industries, over reliance on dollar and pounds, the growing gap between other countries and Nigeria in technology and the lack of engagement of the youths with the economy.

Make I help that guy answer you. Binance is just the scapegoat. There are dozens of other p2ps in these "top 10 world biggest economies" still operating and their economies still dwindling, USA and UK are good examples. They are still experiencing an inflation there.

Ultimately, I think it's just a symptom of capitalism. It's never enough to go round so people will usually find their own way to attack the system to survive.

Meanwhile, the governor of Abia state has shown us through his projects in abia state that president is not really the problem of Nigeria but the state governors and other branch of the government are the problem... I kept wondering where abia state governor is bringing all the money he is using to build projects in abia state but, other governors left there without anything to show... They kept saying abia state don't have money.

Tell them 💯

Binance will stop all transactions and trading in Nigeria's local currency after March 8 amid a country-wide crackdown on crypto exchanges that have been blamed by authorities for feeding a black market for foreign exchange.

It will stop supporting withdrawals after Friday and any remaining balances in Nigerian Naira will be automatically converted into Tether - a stablecoin whose value is pegged to the U.S. dollar.

Last week, Nigerian authorities detained two Binance senior executives on undisclosed charges as part of the crackdown.
They were still in custody, their local lawyer said before a parliamentary committee on Monday.

If it was not Binance why as the over ₦100 lost to the dollar stopped since Binance closed office ? This is the second week shouldn't dollar be trading at over ₦2000 now as it were when Bianance was running the show ? Why as the dollar stayed stagnant or gaining instead of losing ?!

So you mean only a single saboteur is plaguing Nigeria that is why abokifx n binance can not be doing damage at the same time with same motives ? You mean both are saint n does only legitimate Business, no manipulation or speculation ? Bro why una de reason like this now.

Theunbothered:

Last time it was abokifx now it's binance, after floating the naira to "let the market decide" "the government is now attacking markets like the floating never happened. undecided

If they like let them block the whole internet as long as more people want to leave there will always be demand for foriegn currency over the naira.

The federal government injected dollar liquidity into the market and raised interest rates, this has nothing to do with binance.

Your idea is like arresting a journalist for reporting a crime instead of the criminal, taking down binance will not increase dollar supply and bring down the exchange rate!
Check back in a month.
