In taxonomy, Plasmodium falciparum (one of the protozoan that causes Malaria) belongs to Kingdom Protista! Yeast and Mold belongs to Kingdom Fungi! So they are different! Yeast/Mold are Fungi while Malaria parasite, a protozoan is a Protists!
