Thanks so much for the bolded! Clearly there was a witch-hunt for the guy, now I am not trying to exonerate what he's done but the question was that was he actively going after these girls to molest them? No! They were simply attracted to his star-power, I am sure a lot of popular musicians if investigated properly can also be found guilty of similar sins...I remember an interview where a member of the BackStreet Boys said that he got tired of seeing boobs 'cos every night their tour bus was being invaded by groupies, now don't tell him there's never been an underage girl amongst those ones they would have definitely had a night-stand with!

In the eyes of the law, there is nothing like "globally" only Jurisdictions.

In the state of Illinois where Rkelly committed most if his crimes, you cannot have sex with a 14 year old and video the act. That's what Rkelly did to his 14year old goddaughter.

He gave her parents hush money and sent them out of the country. Years later as an adult, she testified that she was the one in the video, 14 years at the time and he was convicted sex trafficking, racketeering and child pornography. These are all serious criminal offences.

He deserves to be in jail.
