I maintain that Kwankwaso has more political value than El-Rufai. With Kwankwaso, the entire vote from Kano State is guaranteed, but El-Rufai cannot guarantee you any states, including his Kaduna.

100% agree. Politics is all about alliances. Both El-Rufai and Tinubu had in the past rained insults on Buhari, yet that did not stop them and others from joining up with Buhari to unseat GEJ. Once it becomes clear to PO that he can't win on his steam, he will make a deal with a northerner like EL-Rufai, just like after 4 attempts, Buhari knew he had to make a deal with Tinubbu
