This 2nd paragraph of your's is incorrect.

Tinubu NEVER abandoned El-Rufai. It was El-Rufai who said he wanted to rest and give others the chance to serve. It was widely reported in the media and the now President Tinubu even appealed to Nasir El-Rufai to serve in his goverment.
