Eph.5.25 - And you husbands must love your wives with the same love Christ showed the church. He gave up his life for her.
Rom.5.8 - But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.


Can you die for your wife? If not is there anything you can give or love you can show equivalent to Christ death on the cross?

Eph.5.28 - In the same way, husbands ought to love their wives as they love their own bodies. For a man is actually loving himself when he loves his wife.
Eph.5.29 - No one hates his own body but lovingly cares for it, just as Christ cares for his body, which is the church.

I doubt any wife wants her husband dead because even Christ the head of the church is alive, halleluyah.

John.15.13 - Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.

Rom.8.34 - Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died--more than that, who was raised to life--is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.
